WASHINGTON, DC: Following the Kansas City Chief's Super Bowl victory, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre thanked "all the Swifties out there," but she was unable to confirm if Taylor Swift will be present alongside boyfriend Travis Kelce when the team is honored by President Joe Biden.

During her daily press briefing on Feb 12, she said, "The President was able to catch some of the game and, on his behalf, I want to extend a big congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs on their third Super Bowl win in just five seasons. And also congratulations to all the Swifties out there."

Online conspiracy theory about the Kansas City Chiefs win

The online conspiracy theory that the Kansas City Chiefs will win a "rigged" Super Bowl to assist Biden in winning a second term as president coincided with the team's thrilling comeback victory.

The Chiefs also met with the 49ers in 2020, the year when Joe Biden won the presidency over Donald Trump. The potential rematch between the two men is scheduled for 2024.

Traditionally, the victorious squad receives an invitation to the White House. It is up to the team to decide who gets invited, so Jean-Pierre was unable to speculate on the Chiefs' arrival time or if Swift would accompany them.

She said, "That's going to be up to the Chiefs and, obviously, their decision to figure out who's going to come with them when they come. And as you know, it's a White House tradition. I can't speak to attendance and who will be here, but we look forward to having them here."

She replied that she was unsure if the players were permitted to invite a guest.

Taylor Swift's endorsement and 2024 general election

Taylor Swift's endorsement has become the most coveted award in this year's general election. Biden was endorsed by the billionaire pop star in the 2020 presidential election when he first faced off against Trump. She has yet to endorse a candidate in this year’s race.

Ahead of Super Bowl LVIII, Donald Trump took to Truth Social and said, "Joe Biden didn't do anything for Taylor, and never will. There's no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money."

Trump further claimed, "I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists."

The 'Shake it Off' singer left her tour stop in Japan and flew halfway around the globe to Las Vegas to support her boyfriend's sports team. She then went out on the field to congratulate him after the Kansas City Chiefs' victory.

Following Kansas' 25-22 victory in overtime, Travis Kelce stated that they will move on to the next challenge. He said, "I´m going to go ahead and enjoy this and everything that just happened. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I´ve been able to go through three times now. It gets sweeter and sweeter every time".

Internet reacts to White House congratulating Kansas City Chiefs

As Karine Jean-Pierre congratulated the Kansas City Chiefs on their third Super Bowl win in just five seasons, many internet users dropped in their views. A user wrote on X, "Nice dig! I love it" whereas another person mentioned, "Grown adults fawning over a pop star that writes music for tween girls lol".

Another person mentioned, "No surprise that the Biden WH would invite the KC Chiefs to to honor their win…after all they are supportive of the Biden WH!" whereas one added, "She sucks. Diversity hire."
