PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani blasted the media outlets that reported an indictment "interrupted" his 80th birthday party celebrations, reported Raw Story.

The 79-year-old attorney, who rose to fame for his actions after the 9/11 attack, is now infamous for his association with former President Donald Trump and his baseless 2020 election fraud claims.

In April, Giuliani was indicted in Arizona for his alleged attempt to overturn the 2020 election results in favor of the 45th president.

Since the indictment came out last month, the Arizona prosecutors could not locate him and serve the notice for several weeks, finally delivering it on his 80th birthday bash on Friday, May 17, in Palm Beach, Florida.

Rudy Giuliani denies interruption in celebration

The former Trump lawyer issued a "FAKE NEWS ALERT" on X (formerly Twitter) on May 18, rejecting reports that the indictment notice ruined his birthday celebrations.

"Contrary to reports from journalists who weren't there, our early 80th birthday celebration wasn't 'ruined' or interrupted," Giuliani wrote.

"It was an incredible night w/ friends, including Steve Bannon & Roger Stone," he claimed. "It felt like a strategy session on how to save America!"

Several media outlets reported that the indictment notice quashed the celebratory mood of Giuliani's early birthday party.

"Officials with the office of Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes served Giuliani in front of nearly 100 guests at his 80th birthday celebration in the Palm Beach, Florida area," one report said.

A party attendee told CNN that two agents of the Arizona attorney general's office served the former NYC mayor with the notice towards the end of the celebration. "They stormed him on his way out," the attendee stated, adding that "many of the guests were visibly upset".

Ted Goodman, a spokesperson for Giuliani, said that the former mayor was "unfazed by the decision to try and embarrass him" during the 80th birthday bash, adding he had "an incredible evening" with his hundreds of loved ones. Goodman noted that they were awaiting the full vindication soon.

Besides Arizona, Giuliani is a co-defendant of Trump in the Georgia election interference case. He pleaded not guilty to the charges in both states.

Furthermore, he was recently fired from his radio show for ranting about the 2020 election against company-wide policy.

Internet reacts to Rudy Giuliani claiming his birthday party wasn't 'ruined'

Giuliani was met with online mockery for claiming the indictment notice did not affect his birthday celebrations.

One user wrote, "Cake, ice cream and subpoenas were served."

Another remarked, "Wonderful, Rudy. You can all 'Save America' from jail."

"Pack up your bags and get ready to spend the rest of your life in jail," a third user quipped.

A fourth response read, "I’m sure being served definitely felt like one of your strategy sessions."

Another person said, "Hahahaha Rudy, you couldn’t outrun the long arms of the law, huh?"

Someone else wrote, "You taunted Mayes for failing to deliver your indictment and got what you deserve less than two hours later: a perfect birthday present, wrapped in an envelope."

"Bet you enjoyed that final special gift you received on the driveway, Happy Birthday Mayor! Not a good idea to taunt law enforcement when you’re the bad guy," an individual chimed in.

Another user added, "You're kinda right. The marshal sang Happy Birthday to you w/your friends....then you got served. So, sure."
