WASHINGTON, DC: Rudy Giuliani's quest to unearth dirt on President Joe Biden reached a new level this week as the former New York City mayor and personal lawyer to Donald Trump took to the airwaves to double down on the very Ukrainian conspiracy theory that sparked his former boss' impeachment back in 2019.

During a Newsmax appearance on Monday, April 29, Giuliani urged Republican lawmakers to pressure the Ukrainian government into providing incriminating evidence against Biden, as reported by The New Republic.

Giuliani issued a brazen recommendation to House Speaker Mike Johnson and Representative Jim Jordan, saying, "They should bring over from Ukraine about 20 Ukrainian witnesses—I can get 'em—that are still being held there. Somebody should lean on Zelensky. You want another penny, give us your Biden file."

The former New York City mayor's suggestion mirrored the very actions that had previously landed his ally, Trump, in legal trouble.

Ahead of the 2020 presidential election, Giuliani had embarked on a mission to Ukraine in hopes of unearthing damaging information about then-candidate Biden and his son Hunter's business dealings.

However, Giuliani's efforts backfired spectacularly. His scheme to solicit foreign interference in the 2020 election ultimately led to Trump's first impeachment by the House of Representatives in December 2019.

The House adopted two articles of impeachment, accusing Trump of abusing his power by pressuring Ukraine to investigate the Bidens for his own political gain.

Giuliani's conspiracy theory alleging that Biden had orchestrated a cover-up in Ukraine to protect his son's position on the board of the Ukrainian oil company Burisma Holdings also played a central role in the House's subsequent probe into Hunter's business dealings.

However, in February this year, the sole witness supporting this claim reportedly admitted that the narrative had been entirely fabricated by Russian intelligence officials.

Internet wastes no time in ridiculing Rudy Giuliani for his recycled counsel

One quipped, "These guys keep renewing the series for another w/o actually rewriting any of them. Just the same shoddy plot year after year after year. I guess it works for Fox News viewers."

Another said, "There is no Biden file. Rudy is delusional. That’s why his career and his life went down the toilet."

"This sad old man is experiencing hardening of categories. He is unable to conceive of a new framework of understanding, or to adapt from self-destructive behaviors and POVs. He will be spouting the same Trumpian horses**t until his dying day. Pathetic," expressed a person.

Someone else noted, "Rudy is the sheer definition of INSANITY! Doing the same thing over & over, expecting a different result... what an INSANE dumba**!!!"

"It's probably a coin-flip if Rudy will ultimately end up in prison or a mental institution. The bottom line: He, more than anyone, should know Everything Trump Touches Dies," declared an individual.

One more stated, "Poor @RudyGiuliani. Dude is broke, life destroyed, and he just can't step away. There is no 'Biden File,' you disgusting traitor," and another person added, "Wow. Talk about failing to learn from your mistakes."
