WASHINGTON, DC: First Lady Jill Biden and President Joe Biden made their yearly tax returns public on Monday, April 15. They revealed that they earned over $620,000 in revenue in 2023, an increase of little more than 7% as compared to 2022 which places them just outside the top 1% of earners in the country, the New York Post reported.

The First Lady's approximately $86,000 salary as a teacher of English at Northern Virginia Community College came in second behind the president's $400,000 salary, which accounted for the majority of the Bidens' income, which they paid 23.7% in federal taxes on, 0.1% less than a year earlier.

In addition, the couple disclosed that they received over $35,000 in pensions, $64,000 in Social Security benefits, and over $39,000 in interest income.

The White House unsubtly mocked former president Donald Trump in a statement, pointing out that he was the subject of an audit. He had refused to release his tax returns during his four years in office.

The White House said, "President Biden believes that all occupants of the Oval Office should be open and honest with the American people, and that the longstanding tradition of annually releasing presidential tax returns should continue unbroken."

Notably, charitable contributions of $20,477, including $1,000 to the Fraternal Order of Police, are reported on the tax forms. Together with the President's pay, the first couple also benefits greatly from the high office. They get no-cost housing, free transportation, and long weekends at their homes in Delaware.

Moreover, during special counsel Robert Hur's investigation into the President for allegedly mishandling secret papers during his Senate and vice presidential years, the Democratic National Committee covered Biden's legal bills.

Furthermore, Republicans have claimed that Joe and Jill Biden might owe up to $500,000 in unpaid taxes because they funneled over $13 million in revenue from speaking fees and book sales through S businesses in 2017 and 2018. This allowed them to avoid paying the 3.8% Medicare tax on the majority of their earnings.

Many people on the internet trolled Joe and Jill Biden as they revealed that they earned over $620,000 in revenue in 2023, an increase of little more than 7% from 2022.

A social media user asked, "What about all the bribe money that was not reported?" while one questioned, "Will he be taxing the rich more aka himself?"

One individual wrote, "They rake in a lot more than that!!!" while another said, "I wonder if he reported all his illegal activity like 10% for the big guy."

One individual stated, "There is no way he cleared under 5 million," while one asked, "What about the Ukraine envelopes? They tax free?"

One individual wrote, "It shows what they reported not what they made. He has a history of money laundering and most likely made a lot more than that."
