NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Snoop Dogg, a prominent rapper and advocate for equality, has undergone a noticeable shift in his perspective on former president Donald Trump.

In a recent interview, the 52-year-old Dogg spoke favorably about Trump, marking a departure from his longstanding criticism of the former president and his supporters.

Following this news, Fox News host Sean Hannity took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report on Dogg being “blunt” about Trump as several people on the internet weighed in their opinion.

Sean Hannity reports on Snoop Dogg being ‘blunt’ about Donald Trump

Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, “SNOOP GETS BLUNT: Rap Icon Praises Donald Trump, 'Nothing But Love and Respect.'”

Hannity’s tweet featured an article from his official website which stated that rap icon Snoop Dogg has lauded Donald Trump in an interview with The Sunday Times.

"Donald Trump?…. He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris," Dogg shared with The Sunday Times.

He continued, “So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump.”

Dogg referred to Michael "Harry-O" Harris, an associate of Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight and the founder of the label's parent company, Godfather Entertainment, was pardoned in 2021 as one of Trump's final decisions before leaving office.

Dogg, who was famously signed by Death Row Records but later left, acquired the label in 2022.

Harris had been imprisoned on charges of conspiracy and attempted murder for over three decades.

Dogg praised Trump at the time for his commutation of Harris, stating to the New York Post, "I love what they did. That’s great work for the president and his team on the way out."

These recent comments from the rapper stand in contrast to the criticism he frequently directed at the former president and his supporters during Trump's time in the White House.

In a 2017 music video for his song ‘Lavender’, Dogg depicted Trump as a clown and portrayed shooting the president in the head.

Internet weighs in on Snoop Dogg praising Donald Trump

Many X users shared their thoughts after Snoop Dogg reportedly praised Donald Trump.

One person said, “’ I love Trump because he pardoned my drug dealer friend’, is quite an endorsement for a candidate you claims each drug dealer is responsible for 500 deaths,” while another wrote, “Snoop be snooping.”

An X user simply expressed, “Yeah, if I was a billionaire and I didn’t have to pay taxes, I would be Trumps buddy too. Not,” while another slammed Dogg, “Surely he was high.”

One person called out Hannity and said, “So you cry about Taylor Swift, but praise Snoop?  Ok,” while another wrote, “You are so pathetic Sean.”
