Iran pushes propaganda video showing missile destroying Statue of Liberty in simulated strike
WASHINGTON, DC: A video made by Iranian propaganda showing a missile hitting the Statue of Liberty has surfaced online. It depicts a fake attack on the US landmark as tensions in the Middle East continue.
The video, reportedly AI-generated, shows a missile flying toward the building before a massive explosion destroys it.
Reports say the video came from Iranian sources and is part of a pattern of messages circulated during the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the US, and its allies.

Iranian propaganda video targets Statue of Liberty in simulated missile strike
The minute-long clip, which ends with the ominous slogan “One vengeance for all,” has been attributed to Iranian state broadcaster Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting and later shared by Russian outlet RT.
It includes sequences referencing Native American dispossession, the atomic bombings of Japan, the Vietnam War, and more recent Middle Eastern conflicts, casting the US as a global aggressor.
The video also shows a child on Jeffrey Epstein’s “island,” a recurring theme in Iran-linked media meant to suggest US leaders launched conflicts to distract from scandals.
Later shots depict AI-generated figures of Ali Khamenei and Qassem Soleimani looking skyward, reinforcing the symbolic narrative.
The video’s centerpiece is a missile flying toward New York Harbor, exploding against the statue and reducing it to rubble, highlighting one of America’s most recognizable symbols.
AI-generated Iranian content spreads propaganda and conspiracy themes
The final sequence shows a missile in Iranian colors striking the statue, whose head is replaced with Baal, a Biblical figure, while holding the Talmud.
Earlier this year, conspiracy theories resurfaced linking a 2009 financial request by Jeffrey Epstein to the name “Baal.” Pro-regime crowds in Tehran also burned effigies of Baal with a Star of David and a picture of former President Trump attached.
Iranian officials have used such imagery to depict the US as responsible for decades of global conflict. Stylized clips resembling LEGO or Teletubbies animations aim to reach wide audiences, including left-leaning Americans.
“The propaganda includes memes and cartoons that aren’t meant to be perceived as real but are very good at spreading political messaging,” said Darren Linvill from Clemson University.
This video is the latest in a series of AI-generated content used since the recent escalation in Iran, combining dramatic visuals with political and symbolic messaging.
