JERUSALEM, ISRAEL: President Donald Trump was greeted by a crowd wearing red baseball caps bearing the slogan “Trump the Peace President” as he arrived in Israel to address the Knesset plenum on Monday, October 13.
Knesset staff distributed the caps—modeled after Trump’s iconic “Make America Great Again” hats—to attendees in the visitors’ gallery. Many were seen wearing them during his speech, part of Trump’s Middle East tour following a landmark ceasefire agreement ending two years of conflict in Gaza.

Knesset hands out MAGA-style caps for Trump speech
Staff in Israel’s Knesset (the national legislature) handed out the red caps to celebrate Donald Trump’s role in brokering the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
The hats appeared as captives were exchanged between Israel and the militant group under the deal that halted years of fighting.
Images of the red caps, emblazoned with “Trump the Peace President,” spread rapidly online after Trump’s address, which marked the formal end of hostilities and the return of 20 surviving Israeli hostages.

During the visit, Trump met with the families of the released hostages and received Israel’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Honor.
“Make America Great Again” red hats have long symbolized Trump’s presidency and the MAGA movement, but in Jerusalem, the new slogan reflected a message of peace and unity.

Hamas handed over its remaining Israeli hostages to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Gaza on Monday, according to an official cited by The Guardian. The hostages were transferred to the Israeli military.
The handover marked a key step toward ending two years of violence under a ceasefire plan brokered by Trump, who addressed the Knesset to highlight the peace deal. During his speech, he said Hamas had agreed to a crucial condition requiring the group to disarm.
