PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform to launch scathing criticism at Fox News for its coverage of his ongoing legal battles, particularly the New York civil fraud case brought against him by the state's Attorney General Letitia James.

The ex-POTUS' outburst comes as a critical deadline approaches, with his properties facing potential seizure unless he can meet a staggering financial penalty.

Donald Trump says Fox News should discuss the 'ridiculous' $450 million fine

The dispute stems from a civil fraud trial where Trump and The Trump Organization were found liable for fraudulent overvaluation of assets to secure bank loans, resulting in a hefty fine of $355 million. With accrued interest, the penalty has ballooned to over $450 million, pushing the former president to the brink of financial jeopardy.

Despite vehemently denying any wrongdoing and attributing the lawsuit to political motives, Trump's attempts to secure an appeal bond have been met with stark rejection, labeling the task as a "practical impossibility," as per Newsweek.

In his rebuke of Fox News, Trump accused the network of failing to address what he perceives as the absurdity of the fine, contending that the valuation of his Mar-a-Lago property was grossly misrepresented to fit a predetermined narrative.

On Truth Social, he wrote, "Don't Like the way FoxNews is reporting the Letitia James Election Interference Scam."

Trump added, "They don't want to discuss how ridiculous the Corrupt Judge's fine of 450 Million Dollars is. It should be $ZERO. The only fraud was the valuation of Mar-a-Lago at $18,000,000 by the Crooked Judge in order to help his already fully debunked narrative. They should pay me damages for what they have done, and ultimately will."

He asserted, "THESE ARE NOT THE PEOPLE THAT MADE AMERICA GREAT, THESE ARE THE PEOPLE THAT ARE DESTROYING AMERICA!"

Trump's scathing remarks underscore a growing rift between him and the conservative media powerhouse, a relationship that had largely been amicable throughout his political tenure.

Adding fuel to the fire, his son, Eric Trump, joined the fray during an appearance on 'Sunday Morning Futures With Maria Baritiromo', echoing his father's sentiments and deriding the judicial valuation of Mar-a-Lago.

He told the veteran host, "Every single person when I came to them saying can I get a half-billion dollar bond… Maria, they were laughing. They were laughing."

Trump himself reiterated that claim on Truth Social, claiming, "The Judge in the A.G. case FRAUDULENTLY UNDERVALUED MAR-A-LAGO AT $18,000,000 IN ORDER TO CREATE HIS FAKE NARRATIVE. HE IS GROSSSLY INCOMPETENT AND CORRUPT! I SHOULD HAVE ZERO FINE."

Internet reacts to Donald Trump slamming Fox News

"Fox is unwatchable, when they fired not only their best show host but the most popular in all TV news with no explanation to their faithful viewers, I was done with them for good!" wrote one, possibly referring to the ouster of newscaster Tucker Carlson.

Another said, "Just watched Fox for the first time since Tucker was there. They are endless war supporters. Too bad," while a person chimed in, "I stopped watching Fox a long long time ago."

One more shared, "It's Faux Nooze, after all. Wouldn't expect much else. They haven't polluted my airwaves since 11/2020."

Donald Trump boasts about golf trophy wins

Despite the looming financial crisis, Trump's social media posts revealed a seeming detachment from the gravity of the situation, as he boasted about receiving golf trophies.

He bragged, "It is my great honor to be at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach tonight, AWARDS NIGHT, to receive THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY & THE SENIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY. I WON BOTH!"

"A large and golfing talented membership, a GREAT and difficult course, made the play very exciting. The qualifying and match play was amazing. A large and distinguished group will be there tonight. Very exciting, thank you!!!" added Trump.
