Jack Antonoff makes rare comment on Margaret Qualley split, refuses to play ‘Let’s Get Married’
WEST HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA: Jack Antonoff has finally commented on his recent split from his actress wife, Margaret Qualley.
The multi-instrumentalist, 42, and the actress reportedly separated earlier this year after almost three years of marriage. Antonoff has, however, not issued any official statement yet.

But on September 15, during Bleachers' final concert of their five-night residency at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, a fan requested that Antonoff, the lead vocalist of the band, sing ‘Let's Get Married’. He humorously replied, “Absolutely not,” before adding, “Read the news, brother.”
The 42-year-old also noted that “I love that song. I wrote it, like, 11 years ago.” ‘Let's Get Married’ was released in 2017 as part of Bleachers’ album, ‘Gone Now’.
Margaret Qualley’s rep denies split rumors
Antonoff’s comment came after Qualley’s spokesperson released a statement in July, refuting claims of “trust issues” and “infidelity” that had resulted in the end of the marriage.
The ‘Maid’ star’s representative said, as per PEOPLE, “The narratives running in the press about Margaret and Jack are categorically untrue. There are no trust issues. There was no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship.”
“They have deep love and care for one another. There are only two people in this marriage, and the sources who are talking to the press and commenting on their relationship are not people who know them. Please respect their privacy,” they added.
Margaret Qualley absent from Taylor Swift’s wedding
Antonoff and Qualley’s split news began after the songwriter attended longtime friend and collaborator Taylor Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce on July 3 with his sister, Rachel. The ‘Substance’ actress was not present at the Madison Square Garden ceremony.
Eventually, Qualley also removed all of her wedding photos, as well as other snaps shared with Antonoff, from her Instagram account.

The Grammy winner and Qualley reportedly started dating in 2021. It was Antonoff who proposed to the 34-year-old actress.
Recalling his proposal on 'The Howard Stern Show', Antonoff reportedly said, “I came back, and I could tell that I looked crazy 'cause she looked at me like something was wrong, and I think it's because I had begun to sweat. And all I do is joke, so when I become serious, I think it's a bit arresting.”
Their marriage took place in New Jersey in August 2023 and was a star-studded affair, with guests including Channing Tatum, Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Zoe Kravitz, and Cara Delevingne.
