MACON, GEORGIA: Country music star Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany Aldean, have joined forces with former President Donald Trump to support Hurricane Helene recovery efforts.

During Aldean’s "Highway Desperado" tour stop in Macon, Georgia, the couple announced a major contribution, totaling over $7 million, raised in partnership with Trump’s weeklong GoFundMe campaign, as reported by Tennessean.com.

This comes after the Trump campaign has accused the Joe Biden administration of not doing enough to help the victims of Hurricane Helene. The Biden administration has dismissed the accusations as false and accussed the former president of politicizing the issue ahead of the November election.

The campaign, which raised $7,039,604, was organized by Trump’s campaign finance director, Meredith O’Rourke, and aimed to help those devastated by the hurricane.

Jason Aldean also revealed that he and Brittany are personally donating an additional $500,000 to aid recovery efforts.

"My wife is from Charlotte, North Carolina, and as we know, North Carolina got hammered pretty hard by this, so we also want to donate to the state of Georgia and Florida to Samaritan's Purse as well," Aldean shared.

"Obviously, Georgia means a lot to us, Carolina means a lot to her and we're gonna try our best to take care of them the best we can."

The funds will be distributed through Samaritan's Purse, a Boone, North Carolina-based humanitarian organization, with donations also being directed toward Georgia and Florida.

In addition to the Aldeans’ contributions, Donald Trump added a video message during the concert, thanking supporters and encouraging continued assistance for affected communities. The GoFundMe campaign was pitched as an official call for MAGA supporters to financially aid fellow Americans impacted by the natural disaster.

Jason Aldean’s $500,000 donation to Hurricane Helene recovery efforts is being matched by fellow country music star Morgan Wallen, as both performers step up to support those affected by the devastating storm. Wallen, a native of East Tennessee, made his contribution via the Morgan Wallen Foundation, donating $500,000 to the American Red Cross on September 30.

In a heartfelt Instagram story, Wallen shared his personal connection to the regions hit hard by the hurricane. "My family in East Tennessee are safe, but I know many are absolutely devastated there and in multiple states," Wallen wrote.

"Those hills and hollers are very important to me in so many ways. It is going to take a monumental effort and I am in contact with my team and others working on ways I can help." His foundation’s donation and his ongoing efforts reflect his deep ties to the area, particularly East Tennessee and Western North Carolina, where many are still struggling to recover.

Beyond his financial contribution, Wallen’s foundation is partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee for a "HELP" campaign aimed at raising funds and collecting essential food for Hurricane Helene victims. The campaign will host food and water drives in both Knoxville and Nashville on October 9, with volunteers packing disaster relief boxes to be distributed in the hardest-hit areas.
