Jason Kelce admits he 'probably cried more' at Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's wedding than his own

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: When two of the world’s biggest icons unite, emotional moments are bound to happen, but leave it to Jason Kelce to steal the spotlight with his tear ducts.

The former Philadelphia Eagles star recently opened up about his brother Travis Kelce’s spectacular, star-studded wedding to pop sensation Taylor Swift.

Despite being known for his tough, physical presence on the football field and his wild, fun-loving personality, Jason couldn't hold back his tears as he watched his younger brother exchange vows with the music superstar.

He candidly admitted that the emotion of the grand ceremony completely overwhelmed him from start to finish.

Speaking on Philadelphia's Sports Radio 94WIP, the former NFL star reflected on serving as Travis' best man and said the celebration was one he will never forget.

When asked if he cried during the wedding, Jason replied, “Yes I did. You know this, guys, I’m a crier.” He then joked that the day was even more emotional than his own wedding, saying, “I probably cried more at this wedding than I did at my own wedding, which, probably is not acceptable. (My wife) Kylie is probably not happy about that.”

Jason described the Madison Square Garden ceremony as “more than a 10/10” and praised Adam Sandler, who officiated the wedding. “The ceremony was incredible. Adam Sandler was, I think, probably the perfect person you could have officiated a wedding. 

Obviously, he’s hilarious, and he knows how to make it entertaining and funny. But there’s a sweetness to Adam and everything he does. All of his movies have really resonated.”

He added that the celebration only got better after the vows. “I think that Taylor and Travis were fantastic in the ceremony. And then, after that, it was just a giant party,” Jason said, adding, “It was like, foot on the gas, and we’re rolling. It was so much fun.”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tied the knot on July 3 in New York City. The iconic venue was transformed into a stunning indoor "Secret Garden," filled with lush greenery and flowers to create a private, fairytale-like setting for the couple's big day.

The wedding brought together more than 1,000 guests, including Hollywood stars, music icons, athletes, and close family members. To protect the couple's privacy, guests were required to hand over their phones before entering the venue, ensuring the ceremony remained completely off-camera.

Actor and comedian Adam Sandler officiated the wedding, guiding the couple through their heartfelt ceremony. Swift and Kelce exchanged handwritten vows, which reportedly lasted around 20 minutes.

After the ceremony, the celebration continued with a lively reception featuring performances by music legends Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney. Guests enjoyed an evening of music, dancing, and emotional speeches as family and friends celebrated the newlyweds.
