He admited that his attempts to go incognito are not very effective. He recalled a time when he saw a photo of himself trying to cover his face with his shirt, but his tattoos, eyebrow scar and long hair were still visible.
"I’m 6’4”, Hawaiian, probably in stripes and in pink, not being subtle, so. It’s just the way it is," he told People.

The one place where Jason Momoa went unnoticed
However, Momoa reveals that there was one place where he enjoyed the luxury of anonymity: Jordan.
He was there to film for the 2021 movie 'Dune' and he had to wear long sleeves, head and face coverings to respect the local culture.
“You know when I got away with it, I was in Jordan and you’ve got to be fully wrapped and covered up,” he said.
He further revealed that it was amazing to be able to blend in with the crowd and not be recognized by anyone.
“No one knew. I was standing next to people, it was great,” he said. He almost gave himself away once when a bit of his tattoo peeked out, but he quickly signaled to the person who noticed to keep quiet.
“A little bit of my tattoo came through and I saw a person like…” He raises his eyebrows, “and was like…” Jason raised the finger to his mouth in a shhh gesture, the publication noted.
