JD Vance directly appeals to RFK Jr's supporters as alliance with Donald Trump is considered
WASHINGTON, DC: Senator JD Vance (R-Ohio) has directly appealed to independent candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr's supporters, following the suggestion that the two campaigns may join forces.
The Republican vice presidential nominee emphasized the ideological shifts within the Democratic Party, urging Kennedy's followers to consider aligning with former president Donald Trump.
JD Vance criticizes Democratic Party while seeking votes from RFK Jr's supporters
Speaking on Fox News’ 'Fox And Friends', JD Vance said, “I’ve never talked to RFK about this, but my pitch to him and to a lot of his voters would be, the Democratic Party of my grandparents that supported his uncle, John F. Kennedy, for president has been completely abandoned by the modern leadership of the Democratic Party."
He contrasted the current Democratic Party with its past, criticizing the party's shift away from traditional values such as strong borders, American manufacturing, and “strong national security.”
“This modern Democratic Party is focused on division. It’s focused on putting people into racial and gender buckets and then using those divisions for political power, and it doesn’t believe in anything common sense like American manufacturing or a strong American border,” Vance argued.
Potential alliance between RFK Jr and Donald Trump campaign's
The possibility of an alliance between the Robert F Kennedy and Donald Trump's campaigns has gained attention after the independent candidate's running mate Nicole Shanahan hinted at the potential end of their independent campaign.
During an interview on the 'Impact Theory' podcast, hosted by Tom Bilyeu on Tuesday, August 20, Shanahan suggested that their campaign could either continue and risk pulling away votes from Trump, potentially leading to a victory of Vice President Kamala Harris, or they could join forces with Trump to prevent the outcome.

“We are taking a very serious look at making sure that the people that have corrupted our fair and free democracy do not end up in office in November,” the attorney said.
"Not easy, not an easy decision," Nicole Shanahan added.
JD Vance's call for unity in Republican Party
JD Vance expressed his hope that Robert F Kennedy Jr would ultimately endorse Donald Trump and join the effort to "save the country" through what he described as common sense policies, which he believes are now only represented by the Republican Party.
"This [is] about saving the country, Democrat or Republican. It’s about saving the country through common sense," said Vance.
“And unfortunately, there’s only one political party that really represents common sense anymore. It’s Donald J. Trump’s Republican Party,” he added, according to The Hill.
