WASHINGTON, DC: Vice President JD Vance has warned that indictments may follow President Donald Trump’s explosive claim that former President Barack Obama and his officials committed “treason” by allegedly working to tie the Republican leader to Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Vance’s comments came shortly after Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard turned over documents to the Justice Department that she claims show deliberate attempts by Obama-era officials to damage Trump politically.

JD Vance backs Donald Trump’s push for legal action

In an interview on 'Sunday Morning Futures' with Maria Bartiromo, JD Vance said he “absolutely” wants to see indictments, insisting the law must be followed but asserting that the revelations from Tulsi Gabbard and FBI Director Kash Patel point to “aggressive violations of the law.”

He also accused intelligence officials of feeding media narratives drawn from Hillary Clinton’s campaign during the 2016 race.

“I absolutely think they broke the law. You’re gonna see a lot of people get indicted for that,” Vance told Bartiromo. “I don’t want them laundering Hillary Clinton’s campaign talking points into the American media and giving them this air of legitimacy. It is sick and it’s disgusting.”

Gabbard submitted documents to the Justice Department that she claims show officials in the Obama administration sought to connect Trump to Russian election interference, despite bipartisan congressional investigations concluding that interference occurred.

According to Gabbard, intelligence assessments that claimed Russia preferred Trump’s victory were wrong and politically motivated. She has accused those officials of manipulating intelligence to harm Trump’s candidacy.

Internet cheers as JD Vance predicts indictments in 'Russia hoax' push

Social media lit up following Vice President JD Vance’s prediction of “a lot of indictments” tied to alleged Barack Obama-era efforts to link Donald Trump to Russian interference. Supporters, skeptics, and political commentators weighed in, with reactions ranging from calls for accountability to demands for broader transparency.

One supporter wrote, "Looks like it's time to drain the swamp and tune in for some real news! Go JD Vance!"

Another said, "JD’s not wrong—that whole Russia collusion narrative was a total fraud. @RyanCarterNYK has been calling this out for years. More people need to be held accountable."

A person remarked, "They ran with a story. They knew not to be true."

One more wrote, "I guess we'll find out. Vance seemed pretty confident about the indictments."

Far-right activist Laura Loomer said, "We will see. Did you hear that @PamBondi? What happens if people aren’t indicted? Who do we get to blame so we have accountability?"

"Not without release of the Epstein Files. I wonder if NYAG Tish James might have a copy of those. I bet she does. I bet some pissed off recently fired DOJ officials with excellent memories would be willing to help clear things up," read another tweet.

A MAGA supporter said, "This is what we voted for! No one is above the law!"

An individual who was skeptical about the possible indictments expressed, "I doubt it, but it would be cool. And if we do, it's a safe bet the globalists will activate their terrorists, biological weapons, etc. They'll burn the world before facing justice."

Barack Obama pushes back on Donald Trump's prosecution demands

President Donald Trump has called for Barack Obama’s prosecution, a demand that the former president has dismissed as “weak and ridiculous.”

Vance, however, insisted the evidence will prove wrongdoing.

“If you look at what Tulsi and Kash Patel have revealed in the last couple of weeks, I don’t know how anybody can look at that and say that there wasn’t aggressive violations of the law,” he said.

Vance framed the allegations as a fundamental breach of public trust, arguing that the intelligence community should be focused on national security threats rather than partisan political operations.

“What do you want our intelligence community to be doing? I want them to be catching bad guys. I want to be making sure that terrorists aren’t gonna kill innocent American civilians,” he said.
