WASHINGTON, DC: Jeanine Pirro has slammed the White House Correspondents' Dinner shooting suspect Cole Tomas Allen and claimed that he thought of himself as “Rambo” who came prepared to kill President Donald Trump.

Allen opened fire at the April 25 event that was attended by the POTUS as well as senior officials and hundreds of journalists. The incident even left a Secret Service agent wounded.

Jeanine Pirro calls Cole Allen 'smug'

Speaking on CNN’s ‘State of the Union, the top US prosecutor noted, “Clearly, the president is a target. And make no mistake, it is not just the manifesto. It is his actions.”

“I mean, this guy thought he was Rambo. And he takes a picture of himself. He is smug, he is proud, and he is focused on what he’s doing,” Pirro asserted.

During the conversation, Allen’s manifesto was brought up, in which he had said, “Administration officials (not including [FBI chief] Mr. [Kash] Patel): they are targets, prioritized from highest-ranking to lowest.”

Though the alleged shooter did not directly name Trump in his note, he made some expletives-ridden remarks and added that he’s “no longer willing to” permit them to “coat my hands with his crimes.”

Jeanine Pirro asserts Cole Allen is 'far from insane'

Pirro did not say if the words were for Trump, as she stated, “You’re going to have to ask him that. I don’t really care.”

But she did mention that “if you read the manifesto … it is very clear who the intended target is.”

“It is very clear, based upon the fact that as soon as this president said that he was going to be at the Hilton for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on March 2nd, [Allen] then made the decision to hatch the plan. I can tell you, we will be able to prove that beyond a reasonable doubt,” Pirro said.

Further into the discussion, the Republican party member denied people’s claim that Allen was “insane”.

“He is far from insane. He is brilliant. He has a master’s degree. He worked at a NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory,” Pirro added.

Kash Patel stated Cole Allen's target was Trump and his officials

Meanwhile, following his arrest on April 25, the accused was pressed with multiple charges — “one count of attempt to assassinate the President of the United States, transportation of a firearm & ammunition in interstate commerce with intent to commit a felony, and discharge of a firearm during a crime of violence.”

FBI Director Kash Patel said, “The evidence is abundantly clear: Cole Tomas Allen traveled to Washington D.C. for the purpose of assassinating President Trump and targeting members of the Trump administration.”
