WASHINGTON, D.C.: Former Governor Jesse Ventura slammed Donald Trump and his administration over war their policies and he didn’t hold back when addressing Trump’s son, Barron. During a virtual interview, Ventura said, “How can you send someone else’s kids to war if you won’t send your own?”

He urged Barron to enlist in the military, emphasizing that Trump has never served. Ventura told Trump he should do something courageous for the country – something his father has never done.

Jesse Ventura urges Barron Trump to take patriotic step

During an appearance on 'Piers Morgan Uncensored', Ventura sharply criticized Trump and his approach to military service. Drawing on his own experience in the armed forces, Ventura questioned the morality of sending other people’s children to war while avoiding service oneself. “How can you send somebody else's kids to a war if you won't send your own?” he asked.

Ventura then directed his comments at Barron, urging him to take action. “So I'm calling right now for Barron Trump... to the United States military. Do something. Your father didn’t dare to do something,” he said. He noted that, to his knowledge, no member of the Trump family has ever served in the military.

Ventura went on to highlight that the Trump family has benefited from the freedoms of the country without ever serving in its defense. “I want to see a Trump in the military. Everybody in my family has served... somebody put on the uniform, and that's you, Barron,” Ventura said.

He referenced previous attempts to excuse the family’s lack of service, noting that while some distant relatives, such as David Robinson, may have served, the immediate family has never done so.

Ventura concluded by urging Barron to seize the opportunity to set an example and honor the country, something his father never did.

US to send 82nd Airborne troops to the Middle East

The US military plans to send at least 1,000 soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division to the Middle East in the coming days, according to people familiar with the plans. The 82nd Airborne is the Army’s quick-response unit and can be deployed rapidly.

The troops will include a battalion from the 1st Brigade Combat Team, along with Major General Brandon Tegtmeier, the division commander, and his staff, the sources said.

This follows US officials' announcement that thousands of Marines on Navy ships are also heading to the region. While Marines are trained for missions such as protecting US embassies and evacuating civilians, 82nd Airborne soldiers are trained to parachute into dangerous areas and seize control of key locations, such as airfields.
