NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Maria Bartiromo, on Thursday, September 10, broke her silence following her departure from Fox News, but she did not say exactly what comes next.
Instead, the longtime television host shared a photo of a rainbow breaking through the clouds and paired it with a short cryptic message.
Her choice of words, particularly the closing line, has already prompted speculation about what she may be planning after leaving the network.

Maria Bartiromo shares a cryptic message
Bartiromo posted the rainbow image on X after receiving an outpouring of messages from friends and followers following news of her Fox News exit.
“Thank you to all friends & followers for your amazing words I am so grateful for the outpouring of love on SM & texts. I love you all. here's a great shot of the rainbow breaking through, I snapped the other day. More to come,” she wrote.
The picture was not taken specifically for the post.
Bartiromo said she had snapped the image a few days earlier, then chose to share it now as she addressed the reaction to her departure.
She did not reveal a new employer, a new show or any specific career move. But "More to come" left the door open to an announcement about her next step.
Bartiromo’s future has become a subject of speculation almost immediately after Fox News announced her departure on September 3.
One reported possibility involves CBS News and its editor-in-chief Bari Weiss.
According to Rob Shuter’s 'Naughty But Nice' newsletter, the two have discussed the possibility of working together, with '60 Minutes' reportedly among the ideas under consideration.
An insider quoted by Shuter said Bartiromo is moving quickly rather than taking time away from the industry.
Bartiromo's sudden exit from Fox
The reported interest would make sense for Bartiromo’s profile.
During her more than 12 years at Fox, she became a familiar face across Fox News and Fox Business, hosting three shows and building relationships with prominent figures in business, politics and finance.
But when Fox announced her sudden departure from the network, questions quickly emerged over what had prompted the unexpected exit.
Fox News announced Bartiromo’s departure without giving a reason, thanking her for “12.5 years” with the network and wishing her well in her “next chapter.”
The circumstances surrounding the exit have since generated competing accounts.

For many years, Maria Bartiromo hosted three number one rated television shows on Fox channels. She has been, without question, one of the hardest working journalists throughout her award winning career.

“The irresponsible reports that have been published stating that Maria Bartiromo was fired or is no longer an employee of Fox are absolutely and unequivocally false,” Freedman said.
He added that Bartiromo and her legal team had evidence to support their position, saying, “We have the receipts and witnesses, and they will come out whether through the courthouse or otherwise.”
