WASHINGTON, DC: Fox News host Jesse Watters has sparked a provocative discussion about Vice President Kamala Harris's 2024 campaign strategy, likening it to a cinematic production.

On 'Jesse Watters Primetime', Watters offered a colorful critique of Harris’s efforts to reframe her political narrative, suggesting that her campaign is less about genuine progress and more about creating a media-fueled spectacle.

Jesse Watters began the segment by quoting legendary actor George Burns, saying, “Acting is all about honesty. If you can fake that, you've got it made.” He then drew a parallel between this notion and the world of politics, implying that Kamala Harris’s approach to her 2024 campaign resembles a performance rather than authentic leadership.

He added, "You come off as fake and don't get a sequel. Kamala Harris is trying to fake her way into another movie, and they're producing it for her.”

He continued, “The media is trying to produce a Kamala Harris Cinderella story and pretending no one notices the soundtrack, costumes and props.”

Watters pointed out that the excitement around Harris's campaign appears to be waning. “The script's already stale. The jump for joy could be heading back to Earth.” He referenced reports suggesting that Harris's campaign has failed to gain significant traction.

The Wall Street Journal’s observation that "many inside the Harris camp believe they can ride the magic carpet of left-leaning media bias" was cited as evidence of this strategy.

However, Watters warned that “Cinderella stories get stale fast in our social media-driven, short-attention span world. And when they do, the media looks quickly for the counter-narrative. The worm always turns, and when it does, no reporter wants to be left behind.”

Watters noted concerns over Harris's campaign performance, stating, “Reporters are worrying because the DNC didn't move the needle. Morning Consult: Harris gets no boost from Democratic convention; YouGov poll: No bounce for Harris. Street vendors in New York City say they can't sell Kamala hats.”

Adding to his critique, Watters commented on the lack of enthusiasm for Harris’s merchandise: “MAGA hats are selling in Manhattan but the Kamala merch is collecting dust. It makes sense, she can’t even sell herself. Nominees barnstorm the battlegrounds but Kamala took the week off. Today she talked to high school students at band practice.” He then quipped, "I don't know if she realises this but most high school kids can't vote."

Watters summarized that the interest in Harris was waning and said, "Where did the crowds go? The same thing happened in 2019, she made a big splashy entrance, huge crowds, adoring media and once voters focused on her, she fizzled out. We are watching the fizzle."
