LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fox News host Jesse Watters recently stirred controversy with his comments on President Joe Biden's reluctance to engage in debates with former President Donald Trump.

Watters suggested that Biden's hesitance stems from a fear of being confronted with uncomfortable questions, such as the allegation that Biden's uncle was eaten by cannibals.

Jesse Watters points to Joe Biden's avoidance of debates as a strategic maneuver

During an episode of 'Jesse Watters Primetime' on Fox News, Watters highlighted Biden's avoidance of debates with Trump, implying a strategic move by the Biden camp to evade potentially challenging questions.

He referenced Biden's ability to freely make statements without facing the same level of scrutiny as Trump, who, according to Watters, faces restrictions due to legal matters.

Watters minced no words in his assessment, stating, "Trump taken off the [campaign] trail. And if he says the Biden donating judge or the lying star witness or the crazy DA's corrupt, he violates the gag order and gets jailed. Biden can spew hoaxes, plagiarize Michael Rockefeller, and Trump can't say a thing or go anywhere except on Wednesdays and on weekends. And with advantages like that, you'd think Biden would be cruising to re-election. Wrong."

He further elaborated on the situation, suggesting that Biden's camp is attempting to evade debates under the guise of protecting democracy. Watters quoted David Frum from The Atlantic, who opined, "The Constitution is not debatable. The president does not participate in forums with a person under criminal indictment for his attempt to overthrow the Constitution."

In a particularly pointed remark, Watters suggested that Biden's reluctance to debate Trump stems from a fear of being confronted with uncomfortable questions, such as the unverified claim about Biden's uncle being eaten by cannibals.

Watters said, "Jail your rival, duck debates to save democracy. You know the real reason Biden doesn't want a debate? Because Trump is going to say your uncle was eaten by cannibals, huh Joe?"

This sensationalistic claim, lacking credible evidence, serves as a hypothetical scenario illustrating the potential challenges Biden might face in a debate with Trump.

Watters' comments come amid a broader political landscape fraught with legal challenges and accusations. Trump is currently facing criminal charges in multiple jurisdictions, including allegations related to his efforts to subvert the 2020 election.

Despite pleading not guilty to a total of 88 counts, Trump and his supporters have characterized these charges as politically motivated, echoing a narrative of a "witch hunt."
