LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel responded to Donald Trump calling him a “horrible” host on the latest episode of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ on Monday, December 8.

Kimmel satirically said that he thought he and the president were “friends” and added that he was starting to think that Trump “might have a crush” on him.

Jimmy Kimmel mocks Trump over Kennedy Center Honors

Kimmel remarked that while Trump had been “boasting about hosting” the Kennedy Center Honors, something no other president had done, he noted that Neil Patrick Harris had likewise never ordered a “military strike on a fishing boat.”

He added that the president was “very excited” to headline the “once prestigious event” and added that Trump "waddled" to the red carpet, where he was “all fired up.”

Speaking of Trump’s comment itself, Kimmel said it was “very hurtful” and joked that he believed he and the president were friends.

“I don’t know what’s going on. He’s really fixated,” Kimmel said.

Jimmy Kimmel played a clip of Trump calling Kimmel “horrible” and saying that if he couldn’t beat the host “in terms of talent,” he shouldn’t be the president of America.

Kimmel responded to the clip by saying that he agreed. He wondered whether Donald Trump knew that he had never hosted the Kennedy Center Honors and said that he might be getting Kimmel confused with Queen Latifah.

Jimmy Kimmel responds to Trump’s ‘talent’ comment

The talk show host referred to Trump’s “Who has more talent” comment and said that it seemed like the president was “challenging” him to a contest, which he was open to.

He said, “Let's do it,” and “have a talent competition.”

“I’ll come out, I’ll tell a few jokes, I’ll draw something, I’ll play my clarinet,” Kimmel said.

He added that Donald Trump could “play golf” and “ruin a country.” He further poked fun at the president as short clips of Donald Trump played side by side.

Kimmel said that the president was a “very talented person,” who could sing, act, dance, do impressions and was athletic.

"So much talent. The one way you can contain it is to lock him up," he joked.

The host added that he wondered what Melania Trump thought when Trump started “rambling on,” a reference to Trump talking about the renovations at the Kennedy Center.

He then played a clip of Trump talking about the marble floors at the Center while Melania stood next to him silently.
