LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jimmy Kimmel declared that any "reasonable person" should indeed have "Trump derangement syndrome" during his appearance on MSNBC’s 'Morning Joe' on Wednesday, October 23.

On the show, the comedian also addressed his ongoing feud with former President Donald Trump, which has included numerous jabs at each other, particularly surrounding his Oscar gig earlier this year.

Jimmy Kimmel calls Donald Trump a 'stupid and dangerous person'

During the show, Joe Scarborough pointed out no other late-night talk show host gets under Donald Trump's skin like Jimmy Kimmel.

The comedian went on to say, "I’m an optimistic person, I’m not hysterical. I laugh when people say, oh, you’ve got Trump derangement syndrome; if you’re a reasonable person, you should have Trump derangement syndrome. And by the way, I think he has derangement syndrome about us too."

Highlighting the dangers of Trump, he continued, "This is a dangerous person, this is a stupid person, and that’s a bad combination. And what we’re forgetting is he’s not just running for president; he’s running to stay out of prison, and that’s a pretty powerful thing. He is literally running for his freedom."

Scarborough then asked Kimmel if he felt "concerned" about Trump’s talk of political retribution and whether he might face consequences in a potential second term. He asked, "How concerned are you that what you do right now may have to change if Donald Trump is reelected?"

The 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' host acknowledged his concerns but insisted that his approach to Trump in his monologues "won’t change."

He expressed, "Well, it won’t change. I am not — I’m concerned, certainly. I think that it would be so un-American if he were to come after people speaking out against him."

Internet divided over Jimmy Kimmel's remarks about Donald Trump

Netizens were quick to share their thoughts on Jimmy Kimmel's comments about Donald Trump, expressing a wide range of opinions.

One wrote, "He has so poisoned our discourse that his childish, caustic antics are portrayed as somehow normal or acceptable. No parent would want to raise their child to behave this way - and it is not, nor will it ever be, normal."

Another expressed, "MAGAts are on the wrong side of history. They’ll figure it out someday."

"KIMMEL IS CORRECT.....IF YOURE NOT CONCERNED ABOUT TRUMP THEN THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" exclaimed a person.

Someone else commented, "Reasonable people should feel deranged about anything, that is the point of being reasonable."

"True. Most people don't want to live life in perpetual panic, so they will tend to normalize the abnormal. Its important that some people still scream 'this ain't normal!!' though,, So 'll be Ok living with 4 more years of TDS," shared one more.

"The drama queen parade on tv continues," snarked another person. Meanwhile, an individual stated, "Kimmel is a piece of trash and pathetic DNC propagandist."

One joked, "Both of their ears must be ringing, but it isn't from Tinnitus, it is from the echo-chamber."
