WASHINGTON, DC: Joe Biden has reportedly angered commuters of Amtrak by allegedly breaking rules on-board during his weekly commute from his home to his DC office.

The former president uses the rail to travel between his Delaware home and a government-provided Washington DC office once a week, as reported by The New York Post.

But despite the etiquettes followed on Amtrak, where people are supposed to be quiet, a regular commuter complained he “was talking!”

The publication also reported that Biden likely forgot what’s served on-board and asked for ice cream from the train’s cafe. He, however, got a muffin.

But regarding his talking, a second witness defended him, stating, “If he’s talking, it’s because he’s constantly approached. [That] is always a criticism of him — that he’s too soft spoken! No winning.”

This came as a report by The Washington Post said that Biden has been travelling to his DC office on a weekly basis.

However, it’s not clear what he actually does there. As per an ex-Biden aide, “It’s really a mystery. They’re supposed to be setting up library stuff but no one has heard anything.”

“We’re all wondering the same thing because he doesn’t go to restaurants or anything public around here,” they added.

But a tipster close to the 82-year-old disclosed that the former commander-in-chief holds meetings with staff members and former staff at the office.

“He’s also been attending events which are sometimes coordinated through the office,” they mentioned.

The source further noted that Biden “was just in Galveston, Texas, to attend a Juneteenth service as a recent example. Separately, he’s working on his book and library and foundation phases of post-presidency.”

Joe Biden trolled over weekly commute to government-provided DC office

Joe Biden critics lost no opportunity to troll the former president over his rail etiquettes.

One critic tweeted, "They didn't tell him he was no longer president. He still thinks he's going to work. Poor Big Guy."

Another said, "He needs to stay far away from government."

"Maybe he thought the 'quiet car' was just a suggestion, not a rule," the third one wrote.

However, some came in support of the former president.

On Facebook, one reader wrote in support of Biden, "So, what's wrong with that? Leave him alone."

Another wrote, "Gotta love a president who still takes the train and craves ice cream like the rest of us. Maybe we should all take a page from Biden’s book prioritize simple joys and keep showing up, even if it’s just for the quiet car and a cone."

Joe Biden optimistic after cancer diagnosis

This came after it was reported that Biden had been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

In late May, he spoke with CNN, where he shared, “Well, the prognosis is good you know, we’re working on everything, it’s moving along. I feel good. All the folks are optimistic.”

“The expectation is we’re going to be able to beat this. It’s not in any organ, it’s in – my bones are strong, it hadn’t penetrated. So, I’m feeling good,” Biden added.

Also, in an X post, he shared, "Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support."
