WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Joe Biden's team tried to cover up the ex-POTUS' alleged dementia by sending him on a series of lavish global trips, which reportedly cost taxpayers more than $8 million over two years, Radar Online reported.

Insiders revealed to the outlet that the objective from within the Biden camp was to keep him out of the Oval Office as much as possible as his health started to decline.

A source informed the outlet, "These figures and the extent of the trips show there is a clear argument that could be made there was a secret policy to actively keep Mr Biden out of the White House as they came at a time when he was showing clear signs of decline, including memory loss."

The former president spent more than $50,000 of taxpayers' money on a celebrity-style visit of just one night to Robert De Niro's trendy hotel chain Nobu, according to Radar Online.

Interestingly, Biden's mammoth spending sprees have been taken from a 94-page Freedom of Information document detailing his travel expenditures over 2022 and 2023, which are attributed to travel costs, security, and accommodation, the outlet reported.

Moreover, his visit to Nobu Warsaw in February 2023 made a huge dent in public money, costing taxpayers $50,712.35 from February 21 to 22, 2023. It was paid not just for Biden, but also for National Security Advisor Jacob Sullivan.

Meanwhile, Biden's most expensive trip was his three-day diplomatic trip to Jerusalem, Israel, and the Palestinian Territories in July 2022, which cost just over $1.2 million.

The trip also included a hotel stay totaling nearly $800,000, once again alongside his security advisor, per the outlet.

Republicans show proof of Joe Biden’s mental decline in Senate hearing

Senate Republicans presented hard proof of Joe Biden’s mental and physical decline and claimed that the cover-up goes deep.

Texas Senator John Cornyn and Missouri’s Eric Schmitt co-chaired a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Wednesday, June 18, to call out, as per them, a brazen operation by the Democratic Party to conceal Biden’s condition, The Sun reported.

Cornyn said in his opening remarks, "There was a conspiracy to hide the president’s true condition by his family, by his staff, by the media, and many elected officials. This was a constitutional crisis bigger than President Biden, bigger than any single election, and one that cannot be absolved by the collective apology of the press and an election where the president’s party lost."

The GOP senators showed a video compilation of Biden’s questionable public moments, starting with his 2024 debate performance against Donald Trump.

A clip showed Biden tripping over his words while talking about the pandemic and Medicare and said at one point, "Look, if we finally beat Medicare".

In a different clip, he seemed disoriented and struggled with his words. The video then ended with the words "The Biden Cover-Up" written on screen.

Meanwhile, Republicans said talks about Biden’s decline didn’t start with the infamous debate. Schmitt said at the hearing, "President Biden's decline did not suddenly begin in June 2024. It was a persistent and obvious truth that was obvious for years to anyone who was willing to see it."

Moreover, Cronyn said,  "We need to know who was in charge during the last months of the Biden administration. Was it his wife, his chief of staff, nameless others? None of these people were elected by the American people, nor were they authorized by the Constitution and laws of the United States to carry out the duties of the president of the United States."
