WASHINGTON, DC: After investigating the president's impeachment for seven months, GOP leaders now maintain that holding a vote to remove Joe Biden from office is not a key indicator of their success. They won't, however, rule anything out, stated Daily Mail

House Republicans decided against holding an impeachment vote and instead to send James Biden and Hunter Biden—not Joe—to the Department of Justice (DOJ) for criminal prosecution. The Biden DOJ eventually disregarded their recommendation.

Chairman of Oversight James Comer maintained that he never intended for an impeachment vote, believing instead that the investigation would result in referrals.

During an interview with DailyMail.com, he said, "I've been saying for almost a year that this would end with criminal referral." He added that former Speaker Kevin McCarthy decided to launch the impeachment investigation.

He added, "The impeachment inquiry was a phase that McCarthy came up with to try to help us have greater standing in court. It really had nothing to do with with impeachment."

Notably, the Oversight, Judiciary, and Ways and Means Committees have been looking for evidence linking Joe Biden to Hunter Biden's dubious business activities for the past six months.

Moreover, to provide Republicans with greater legal leverage in court when the Biden team withheld papers they had been subpoenaed, former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy called a full House vote to approve the investigation.

Republicans, however, privately feared that launching an impeachment investigation may appear to be an act of exoneration should the president never be impeached.

The Oversight chairman admitted, "The Senate was never going to convict Joe Biden. So our objective was was twofold. One, to get the truth to the American people, and I think we've done that. And number two, is to prevent this from happening in the future, which is what we're focused on now. Influence peddling is a gray area in the government."

Moreover, he mentioned the White House ethics measure that he and California Democratic Representative Katie Porter just presented.

Comer believed that the law would pass the House and Senate this Congress despite the White House allegedly making phone calls to Democrats to get them to abandon the bill, which would have strengthened disclosure rules for foreign income for the president and his family.

Joe Biden slammed as James Comer reveals why pre-election vote is unlikely

People on the internet took jibes at Joe Biden as James Comer maintained that he never intended for an impeachment vote, believing instead that the investigation would result in referrals.

Some online comments read "Joe deserves to be impeached but now is not the time. The voters will impeach him in November" while one added, "Biden made at least nine false or misleading claims in the debate. He used false numbers while describing two of his key Medicare policies, falsely claimed that no US troops had been killed on his watch."

A user also wrote, "Biden is too feeble to be prosecuted. That has already been independently confirmed" whereas one mentioned, "Biden and his Dem friends impeached Trump when it is Biden who should be impeached. He had 10 times more documents in his garage than Trump."
