WASHINGTON, DC: President Joe Biden raised concerns on Monday night, June 10, when he appeared to freeze for nearly a minute and then began to speak in an incomprehensible slur during a lively Juneteenth celebration at the White House

The incident took place at an event preceding the national holiday next week, where the Commander-in-Chief appeared to experience a momentary lapse as the rest of the crowd, including Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, enjoyed the lively music.

Philonise Floyd, brother of the late George Floyd, noticed Biden's concerning pause and wrapped his arm around him in an apparent effort to assist. Floyd managed to get a response from Biden by offering a "pound it" fist, which the president reciprocated. However, Biden experienced further difficulties as he delivered a speech following the musical performance.

On Monday evening, the White House hosted a number of performers ahead of the holiday, including Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle, rapper Doug E Fresh, and Kirk Franklin.

Following Biden's abrupt freeze, he addressed the audience about Juneteenth, yet faced another concerning moment when his speech became slurred and difficult to understand.

During a clear portion of his address, Biden remarked, "The day reminds us that we have a helluva lot more work to do. Let's keep marching. Let's keep the faith."

Before delivering his speech, Biden was observed taking a sizable gulp from a bottle containing red liquid, potentially a Gatorade bottle with the wrapper removed. Throughout the evening, the president remained seated in the front row, enjoying the concert, while some members of the audience stood and danced for two hours.

The evening was hosted by actor Roy Wood Jr, who praised Biden and VP Harris for their work with the black community, delivering brief African American history lessons between musical acts.

Harris also spoke, designating this year's Juneteenth holiday as a day of action for voting rights ahead of the crucial November election. In a light-hearted moment, Harris returned to the stage later for an impromptu dance with gospel singer Kirk Franklin.
