Joe Biden takes a hilarious jab at Jimmy Fallon as late-night host spoofs POTUS doing TikTok trends
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jimmy Fallon playfully teased President Joe Biden on 'The Tonight Show' with a comical bit imagining the POTUS' antics on TikTok.
In a lighthearted response on President's Day, the president showcased his sense of humor with a TikTok video poking fun at the ratings of Fallon's show.
The clip, shared on the official Biden-Harris TikTok account, featured a snippet of Fallon's playful skit followed by the POTUS remarking, "I'm always happy to be made fun of by America's most-watched late-night host. But if Colbert won't do it, you're fine too," as per The Wrap.
Joe Biden's TikTok debut sparked Jimmy Fallon's parody
For context, the Biden-Harris TikTok account, launched during the Super Bowl possibly to attract younger voters, inspired Fallon's creative parody a few days later.
In the skit, the late-night host humorously portrayed POTUS engaging in current social media trends, including a nod to a popular meme where Fallon-as-Biden was seen claiming, "My Roman Empire is the Roman Empire – 'cause I was there."
Playfully embracing the presidential persona, he quipped, "I'm the president, of course, I wear my aviators in the shower. I'm the president. Of course, I say, 'Come on, man,' when I'm running out of brain. Come on, man."
In another segment following the same theme, Fallon stated, "The Roman Empire of mine is the No 1 pencil. Many individuals are unaware that there existed a pencil before the No 2." Subsequently, he discreetly added, "Softer lead."
Continuing in the same vein, Fallon, portraying Biden, sat across from an actress portraying First Lady Jill Biden. He repeated the phrase, "I think I like this little life," three times, reminiscent of the widely popular trending song frequently employed in videos on the platform.
Jimmy Fallon can't have enough of Joe Biden doing Tiktok trends
In a dance clip set to the popular "Don't call, just text me" song, Fallon mouthed, "They stare 'cause they know I'm the I-T G-I-R-L."
The comedic pinnacle of the segment occurred when Fallon's Biden performed "Bohemian Rhapsody" in front of three mirrors, opening and closing different sections as he mimicked singing different parts of the iconic song by Queen.
He ended the segment by declaring, "I can't wait to see more!"
