NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Sean Hannity brutally mocks Joe Biden after the president recently claimed that he met with the former president of France, Francois Mitterrand who died three decades ago.

Hannity took to X, formerly known as Twitter to take a brutal jab at Biden as he shared a video of POTUS’ gaffe.

Apparently, several people on the internet also trolled Biden on his flub.

Sean Hannity mocks Joe Biden over his latest gaffe

Fox News host Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, “SENIOR JOE-MENTS: Biden Says He Recently Met With French President Who Died in the 90s [WATCH].”

Hannity’s tweet featured an article from his official website which reported that during a campaign rally at Pearson Community Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, Joe Biden sparked surprise by asserting that he had recently met with Francois Mitterrand, the French president who passed away nearly 30 years ago.

Biden made these remarks while cautioning about the risks associated with a potential second Donald Trump presidency, as he sought to bolster enthusiasm ahead of Tuesday's Democratic primary in Nevada.

Biden recalled a familiar anecdote he has shared numerous times during his presidency, recounting a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at a G7 gathering in England, which took place several months after Biden assumed office in the White House.

Biden said, “I sat down and I said, ‘America’s back.’  And Mitterrand from Germany – I mean from France – looked at me and said…"

Biden seemed to pause momentarily before regaining his composure to conclude the sentence, "Well, how long are you back for?"

The president then proceeded to share that the "Chancellor of Germany" had inquired about how he, and by extension, the US, would react if, hypothetically, thousands of individuals stormed Britain’s House of Commons and fatally injured two "bobbies," or British police officers, in an attempt to prevent the election of a Prime Minister.

Francois Mitterrand served as France's president from 1981 to 1995, before dying in 1996.

Internet trolls Joe Biden over his gaffe

Many X users brutally trolled Joe Biden over his gaffe.

One person wrote, “Wow ! People will still vote for him. He hasn't told the truth in a long time! He can't remember anything,” and another said, “Sadly our President is a meat stick.”

An X user simply slammed Biden, “Sad lold confused old senile man UNQUALIFIED Administration # sad shameful,” and another added, “He sees dead voters,,,,,I mean dead people.”

One more person called out Biden, “He talks to dead people. He must have a Ouija Board!” and another said, “Yes, Joe is a democratic party's dead man.”
