WASHINGTON, DC: Joe Biden's staffers are reportedly "triggered" as he is unable to uphold the important tradition of the outgoing president taking "departure photos" with White House employees.

Notably, Biden would have anyhow left the White House in January 2025 despite whoever won the 2024 presidential election, as he declined to seek a second term in July, as per Daily Mail.

Donald Trump will be returning to the White House after he defeated Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.

Joe Biden's staffers 'triggered' over departure photos

The White House staff has reportedly reached a new low in terms of morale by launching into unhappy group chats about not getting their goodbye pictures.

Notably, the photos are a tradition when the president leaves. A White House staffer called the way Joe Biden has gone about it "rather triggering", per the outlet.

An ex-staffer said, "It's just been one thing you can sort of count on as a reward for all of your service. And it's parents feeling fulfilled, too, for all of their work and getting you to this place."

Moreover, the ex-staffer waited eight months until after he had departed to get a picture with the president.

Interestingly, Biden largely kept to the tradition earlier in his tenure. He scheduled sessions with groups of departing employees in the Roosevelt room and even bought plane tickets for family members to tag along.

The former official added, "They just took them off his schedule months ago, and no one knows why."

White House staffers' families not allowed to be included in photographs

Last week, the White House Office of Management and Administration sent an email to staffers saying they were "pleased to invite all current EOP political appointees for a departure photo to celebrate your time and work while at the White House."

However, families were not allowed to be included or flown in for the photographs, according to Politico Playbook. The email continued, "These will be individual clicks (no guests) with the President in the Oval Office."

The photo sessions, which are being scheduled with each office, will occur “on a rolling basis” over Biden’s final two months on the job, according to the email.

A current Biden staffer said, "Instead of everyone being annoyed by no departure photos, now it's only half of the people who are annoyed."

However, there's envy about younger staffers getting their photos prioritized over more senior employees, according to Daily Mail.

POTUS photos by junior staffers, some of whom have only been working at the White House for months, have left senior former White House officials who moved to other agencies or outside government annoyed as they haven't got their departure photos yet.

A group text of Biden staffers read, "Like why did I see an intern turned staff assistant get a photo before me?"

Another group chat read, "It makes me annoyed that I'm even this annoyed, but it's the principle of the matter and a coveted White House experience to get a departure photo."

“These are the staffers who stood with Biden since Day 1, many since the lowest ebbs of the campaign,” a former official wrote in a lengthy message to colleagues.

“The staffers who gave everything to this President, who missed anniversaries, birthdays, their own doctors appointments, knowing democracy itself was on the line, deserve at the very least a proper goodbye from the man who says he owes them everything.”

An administration official clarified that departed former staff will soon receive invites for departure photos.

Internet trolls Joe Biden over departure photos

Many people on the internet trolled Joe Biden as he is unable to uphold an important White House tradition of clicking depature photos with White House employees.

A user said, "They should just go take a photo next to him at the wax museum. No one will be able to tell the difference", while one added, "Working for Biden is not a resume enhancement.."

A user also wrote, "Biden bought plane tickets for families to come for photo ops….? Or did the American tax payer? The whole of America should be furious for this!" while one commented, "That's not surprising - after all, he forgot to tie his shoes on most days of his presidency, which is probably why he kept tripping... "

A person also stated, "No surprise here. Biden has no class. Zero self-awareness. No respect for others. IT’S ALL ABOUT HIM. ALWAYS HAS BEEN."

Another mentioned, "The Biden family, Kamala & Doug, and Democrats don’t care about ordinary people."
