Trump draws flak for trolling Biden and Kamala Harris with AI-generated Thanksgiving video: 'Disgraceful'

WASHINGTON, DC: President-elect Donald Trump has ignited widespread controversy with the release of an AI-generated Thanksgiving video that humorously mocks President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

The 36-second video, posted by Trump on social media, shows a Thanksgiving dinner scene with the faces of Biden, Harris, Nancy Pelosi, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) superimposed onto characters from the 1989 holiday film, 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation'.

The edited footage shows a festive dinner scene with President Joe Biden carving a turkey. As he prepares to slice the turkey, an AI swap of Doug Emhoff as Adam from the movie requests, "Save the neck for me." Biden responds, "Okay, Adam."



 

To the surprise of everyone at the table, Biden makes the first cut on the turkey, and the camera pans to show Trump coming out of it while doing his trademark 'YMCA' dance moves.

The video posted by Trump on X (formerly known as Twitter) ahead of Thanksgiving Day quickly went viral. The president-elect, recognized for his unconventional use of social media, shared the video without providing any caption.

This comes after Trump's criticism of "radical left lunatics" in his Thanksgiving message on Thursday, November 28.

"Happy Thanksgiving to all, including to the Radical Left Lunatics who have worked so hard to destroy our Country, but who have miserably failed, and will always fail, because their ideas and policies are so hopelessly bad that the great people of our Nation just gave a landslide victory to those who want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" the president-elect wrote on X.



 

“Don’t worry,” Trump wrote to reassure his supporters about his vision for America. “Our Country will soon be respected, productive, fair, and strong, and you will be, more than ever before, proud to be an American!”

Donald Trump's Thanksgiving video sparks backlash 

As Donald Trump's Thanksgiving video went viral across social media, the president-elect drew flak from social media users, who asked him to "focus on making the country better now."

A social media user wrote, "You’re such a pathetic little man."



 

Another wrote, "Alright now it’s getting annoying. You won the election. Its over. Focus on making the country better now."



 

One commentator who was probably not expecting Trump to post any such video asked, "The next president, ladies and gentlemen. This is really what people voted for???"



 

"I’m not even listening to this because I know it’s something childish and hateful. How could you America? How could you vote for this disgraceful THING? Ugh" asked a critic.



 

Another questioned, "What's the point of this? Aren't you suppose to unify the country?"



 

Another added, "How awful. Thanksgiving is a day of gratitude and counting our blessings. Can we have one day of kindness?"
