WASHINGTON, DC: John Fetterman was called out online after he arrived in a tailored suit to greet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his visit to Capitol Hill.

The 54-year-old senator has never worn a suit during any official meeting but on Wednesday, July 22, he looked different, ditching his signature hoodie, as reported by Raw Story.

Netizens slam John Fetterman for having ‘zero respect for’ the US

People on the internet were soon to point out the change as author Jacob Remes tweeted, “The fact that Fetterman wears a suit for Netanyahu but makes a huge point of refusing to wear a suit to literally everything else is sufficiently weird as to be darkly sinister.”



 

Podcaster Ryan Davis commented, “Fetterman has zero respect for our country or traditions, but fawns over a foreign war criminal.”

Capital and Main reporter Jeremy Lindenfeld said, “I don’t really care about the sartorial choices of electeds, but that Fetterman has insisted on wearing casual clothes to Congress while representing his constituents, but is wearing a suit for Netanyahu sends the message that he values Israel over the American people.”



 

“John Fetterman acting like the store manager when the regional manager is in town,” podcaster Murder X Bryan wrote.



 

@marionumber4 shared, “It’s extremely hilarious that John Fetterman won’t even get dressed up for his own wife, but will get dressed up for Netanyahu lmao.”



 

People want Democrats to replace John Fetterman

“It's okay for Jewish Fetterman to show allegiance to his mother country, but when Hispanics, first nation want to celebrate/retain some of their culture, or blacks want to celebrate kwanza, deemed unpatriotic/unamerican. Screw Fetterman, hope Dems have better candidates, waiting in the wings, to replace him,” a reader said in the comments section of the Raw Story article.

Another reader sarcastically said, “You always dress up for your district manager 🤣🤣🤣.”

“Yeah, that's not something I can admire. I kinda wonder if he is going to get a second term. He loves Bibi even though most Israelis don't. Bibi belongs in jail, just like Trump,” a person expressed.

The second one noted, “This, alone, will keep me from voting for him if he ever decides to run for president. I liked his irreverence and his attitude. I definitely do not support anyone who shows any deference to a criminal with the blood of thousands of Palestinians on his hands. I hope Fetterman enjoys his time in the Senate. He might just as well have hugged a life-size Trump in image.”
