Josh Charles says wife Sophie ‘snuck a phone’ into Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Actor Josh Charles' wife, Sophie Charles, had a little fun with the strict no-phones policy at singer Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce wedding after attending their lavish ceremony at Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3.
An insider previously told PEOPLE that guests were informed their phones would be checked upon arrival before entering the venue. Sophie later joked about the rule on social media while several other guests also shared lighthearted reactions to the experience.

Josh and Sophie were among the celebrity guests who attended what many dubbed the "royal wedding." The day after the ceremony, on Saturday, July 4, she shared a video on Instagram with the caption, "Snuck a phone into MSG."
The clip, set to dramatic music, showed her opening a gold flip phone pendant from her jewelry company, Mad Fine. The Flip Phone Pendant features hand-set lab-grown diamonds on the screen. The gold version is currently priced at $2,925, reduced from $3,900, while the silver version is on sale for $975, down from $1,300.
The product description makes clear that it is "Not a functional phone!", making the post a playful reference to the wedding's phone-free policy.
Sophie was not the only guest to joke about the restrictions. South Korean filmmaker Joseph Kahn, who has directed several of Swift's music videos, posted on X that he was ready to get his phone back, writing, "I haven't been without my phone that long since 1992."
Kahn also reflected on his experience inside the exclusive ceremony, revealing that he met Steven Spielberg and spoke with him about filmmaking and camera blocking. In another post, he wrote, "I finally met Steven Spielberg tonight and spoke to him a while about filmmaking and his camera blocking. Also got to meet Willie Scott. Bro, I'm buzzing."

After one user commented that meeting Spielberg's wife, actress Kate Capshaw, was an even bigger treat, Kahn replied, "Not gonna lie, I was starstruck." A longtime collaborator of Swift, Kahn has directed music videos for several of her biggest songs, including 'Blank Space,' 'Bad Blood,' 'Wildest Dreams,' 'Look What You Made Me Do,' 'Ready for It?' and 'Delicate.'
He also shared a selfie from the wedding with his wife, Lotte, on Instagram, writing, "Had a wonderful time at Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce's wedding last night. I got to meet Steven Spielberg and the lovely Kate Capshaw and talk filmmaking with the GOAT (lifelong dream achieved)."
Kahn described the ceremony as "so much funnier and emotional than expected," adding that despite its scale, "it also felt very intimate." He continued, "And yes, literally everyone was there. I told Lotte many times it was like living in the internet, and AI would crack if it tried to render it. Anyway congratulations Taylor and Travis! Wishing your beautiful family and future family endless happiness!"
In addition to family members, Swift and Kelce celebrated with an extensive guest list of famous friends and colleagues. A representative for Swift confirmed the marriage and shared details of the ceremony.
It said, "The bride and groom's wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women's, Men's and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom."
The representative also confirmed that the couple did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, Taylor's brother, Austin Swift, served as her Man of Honor, while Jason Kelce was Travis' Best Man.
