Joy Behar, 83, admits Botox and fillers but denies getting a facelift: ‘I happen to have good skin'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Joy Behar gave an honest insight into her cosmetic procedures, but she also insisted that she never had a facelift.
The 83-year-old comedian recently sat down for an interview on the ‘Behind the Table’ podcast, where she revealed the secret behind her youthful appearance.
Joy Behar denies facelift, admits Botox use
“Everybody thinks I’ve had a facelift - I have not had a facelift,” she declared before explaining, “I’ve told everybody… I’ve had Botox… I do work on myself… I’ve had Botox, I’ve had Restylane to fill in… then my hair… just yesterday, I had a dye job, highlight job and a keratin treatment.”
The ‘The View’ host also asserted that looking good is not an easy job. “You have to do things. Everybody thinks you look good because you’re naturally that good… you’re not,” she claimed.
Joy Behar mocks men’s Botox, surgery looks
Further into the discussion, Behar said that when it comes to men, they don’t age as gracefully as women.
She stated, “Because when they start with the Botox and the eyelid surgery and the hair dye… they look ridiculous.”
This came months after, in February, the actress addressed people’s fascination with her famously high cheekbones.
“You just have to get Restylane for that. Anybody can have high cheekbones. Because it's fat or collagen or whatever the hell they put in there. It's not really bones,” she told PEOPLE, adding, “The filler is actually way better than the Botox. The Botox, I don't know what that does. It freezes lines on your forehead, I guess.”
Joy Behar credits mother for youthful skin
Behar also talked about plastic surgery in the old days that scared her away.
“I have one friend who got a facelift when she was 30, and she wanted to be prettier. I never heard of such a thing at the time. But remember the work in the '80s, you looked so strange. But I knew a lot of women who were addicted to plastic surgery,” she shared.
However, it’s not all outside work that makes Behar beautiful. She proudly told the outlet, “I happen to have good skin. I inherited that from my mother. I don't really have a lot of wrinkles. And I'm lucky that I have a lot of hair. I do have a lot of hair; I never lost it.”
Kris Jenner shuts down facelift rumor backlash
Meanwhile, Behar’s recent admission about cosmetic procedures came weeks after Kris Jenner addressed rumors about her $100,000 facelift.
She said, “Lately, it's this headline about my facelift, which is really truly driving me crazy. The headline right now is that I hate my facelift, and I'm really mad at... I'm furious at my doctor, Steven Levine, which couldn't be further from the truth."
“It's a flat-out lie. I love my facelift. I adore my doctor. I'm obsessed with him,” the matriarch asserted.
