Glen Powell shares about meeting fan who ate his photos for over 100 days
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Glen Powell has revealed a bizarre thing one of his fans did to meet him. He also shared the unique way he learned about it.
During an interview for The Hollywood Reporter's comedy roundtable, released on May 20, the 37-year-old actor mentioned a female fan of his, TikTok creator @mynameismonique, who ate printed pictures of his face for more than 100 days.
Glen Powell's fan ate his photo to get a role in his film
Powell disclosed that the woman vowed to do so until she gets a role in one of his films or TV shows as an extra.
“I didn't know this was a thing until it was described to me while I was on the red carpet,” ‘The Running Man’ star shared while having a conversation with fellow roundtable guests Harrison Ford, Owen Wilson, Riz Ahmed, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Zach Braff.
“‘They're like, 'Hey, the girl that eats your face is on the red carpet.' I go, 'What are you talking about?' I was like, ‘Guys, come on, this is a real liability,’” he recalled.
Glen Powell met a superfan at the UK premiere of 'Running Man'
The apparent superfan of Powell reportedly started her challenge in mid 2025. She also shared about it on social media and claimed that the photos were “100% fully edible”. She finally met the ‘How to Make a Killing’ actor in November last year as he was in the UK for the premiere of ‘Running Man’.
At the time, Powell also signed a photo of himself for her, and she took a bite out of it, leading to the actor quipping, “This is savage.”
Glen Powell avoided taking photo with a 'canceled' star
However, it’s not that Powell has only experienced awkward encounters with his fans since he himself faced an uncomfortable situation with a "recently canceled" star.
During a September 2025 episode of Jake Shane's ‘Therapuss podcast’, he shared, “I showed up to the party, and there was somebody that had been on the ropes in terms of getting canceled. It was one of those Hollywood parties where there were cameras and press and all that stuff.”
Continuing further, Powell noted, “This person had made some of my favorite movies, and I was like, 'Oh, this is great.’ He came up, and he said, 'Nice to meet you.' I was like, 'Oh, dude. Such a big fan.’”
But the ‘Hit Man’ actor added that he did not get himself photographed with the unnamed person because they were “recently canceled and it was not good.”
“I was a fan of their work, but not a fan of their choices. So, I was kind of just being nice. But then, when they wanted to take a picture with you, I realized very quickly—I was like, 'Oh, I don't know if this is a good idea,’” Powell stated.
