Disney Channel star Carla Jeffery, known for 'Zombies' and 'Curb Your Enthusiasm,' dies at 33

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actress Carla Jeffery is no more. The Disney actress, best known for playing Bree in Disney’s 'Zombies' franchise, has died at the age of 33. The news of her death was shared by Alexander’s Talent Management on Instagram.

Jeffery’s cause of death was not immediately known. Her death was announced on Tuesday, September 1, leaving fans and loved ones mourning the loss of the talented actress.

Carla Jeffery died at the age of 33

According to the talent management company, the statement reads, “It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffery, who passed away on September 1, 2026, at just 33 years old.”

“Carla joined the Alexanders Talent Management family at the age of 12. For more than 20 years, we had the privilege of watching her grow into a beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly talented woman whose radiant smile could light up any room,” her team’s statement continued.

“As Bree in Disney’s hit Zombies franchise, Carla shared her joy, humor, and bright spirit with audiences around the world.” Her management company concluded, “Carla was more than a client; she was family. Our hearts are with Carla’s family and loved ones during this devastating time.

“We respectfully ask that their privacy be honored as they grieve this unimaginable loss. Rest beautifully, Carla. Your light will never be forgotten.” Milo Manheim, who starred alongside Jeffery in the 'Zombies' films, shared a heartbreaking tribute, writing, “Love you, Carlaboo. The sweetest, kindest, most loving person.”

He also shared a clip, adding, “I pray you would want this brought back real quick. I fuckin’ love you. Thank you for spreading so much joy.”

Jeffery’s acting journey began when she was 12 years old. Jeffery was born on July 10, 1993, in Houston. She appeared in films and TV shows such as 'Phat Girlz', 'iCarly', 'Miss Guided', 'Southland', 'Curb Your Enthusiasm', 'Men of a Certain Age', 'Good Luck Charlie', and 'Shake It Up'. 

However, Jeffery gained recognition for her role as Bree in Disney’s 'Zombies' franchise. She played a cheerleader at Seabrook High and was Addison’s (Meg Donnelly) best friend.

She also appeared in 'Zombies' (2018), 'Zombies 2' (2020), and 'Zombies 3' (2022). Later voiced Bree in the 2024 animated series 'Zombies: The Re-Animated Series'.

Jeffery’s other roles included 'Scream Queens', 'American Vandal', 'Uncle Buck', 'Girl on the Edge', 'Teacher of the Year', 'Puzzled' and 'Spider-Man'.
