LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly went to great lengths to keep their lavish wedding decorations out of the public’s hands.

According to the Daily Mail, the couple’s custom-made decor was burned after their reported $30 million wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York on July 3.

The decorations were reportedly burned to prevent anyone from taking them and selling them. However, neither Swift nor Kelce has confirmed the reports.

According to the publication, workers were instructed to dispose of the custom-built decorations after the ceremony.

“They didn’t want people to steal it and then auction it or sell it, so they just burned it all,” a source reportedly told the Daily Mail. The elaborate decor reportedly included custom furnishings featuring the couple’s initials, along with structures designed to create a garden-like setting.

The items were allegedly transported from New York to Pennsylvania after the ceremony before being destroyed.

The source also claimed that workers had been told the decorations would be incinerated, although the exact location where this allegedly happened remained unclear.

“They had told us it was going to be incinerated, but I don’t know where they actually physically incinerated it,” the insider reportedly said.

“The fact that no one has relics of it and it all had to get burned and properly disposed of is kind of crazy,” the insider said. “Eleven semi-trucks to transport cross-country and then just burn it all down was pretty wild, just because you don’t want people (to have access to it).”

Taylor Swift’s role in planning her $30 million wedding

Swift reportedly wanted to be involved in the wedding planning rather than leave all the work to others. According to the Daily Mail, a source said the singer wanted to have a say in how the ceremony was organised.

“She didn’t want to just be handed a wedding,” the source reportedly said.

The insider also said Swift was friendly and grateful to the people working on the wedding. Kelce, meanwhile, was said to be relaxed and to have shared his ideas from time to time.

More than 1,000 guests, including several celebrities, reportedly attended the wedding. The celebration featured several food stations, bars and a castle-like setting for the reception.

Some of the original plans were also changed before the big day. A two-story carousel that reportedly cost $7 million was replaced with a tent for carnival games.

The couple also reportedly dropped plans for a pond beneath the altar because of safety concerns.
