Joy Behar makes crass joke on Trump’s falling approval ratings

President Donald Trump’s approval stood at 39% per The Economist and 33% per AP, down from 43% previously, with disapproval at 57%

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Joy Behar returned to 'The View' following an injury leave with her signature sense of humor fully intact, immediately making a shocking, NSFW joke about President Donald Trump's approval ratings.

The comedian joked that Trump's numbers were falling lower than her own chest measurements, adding that "they're in their 30s," in reference to the latest polling data.

The comedian returned to the show on a Friday, November 14 broadcast that saw the co-hosts discussing the recently elected New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani's ability to take on President Donald Trump's powerful administration.

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin began the conversation referencing the political leader's "ability to use the executive branch," and the "power of the presidency" to his advantage, which set off Behar's controversial interjection.

Dismissing Griffin's assessment of the administration's strength, Behar said, "You said something about he’s dealing with one of the most powerful administrations. Donald Trump’s numbers are getting lower than my b***s, alright? They’re in their 30s."

It is to be noted that in a CNN poll released on November 14, his approval rating sat at 39 percent.

Other reports at the time, including those from The Economist and the Associated Press, suggested approval was even lower, at 39% and 33% respectively.

Serious political point overshadowed by Joy Behar’s joke

As Griffin tried to seriously defend her point about the administration's strength, Sara Haines interrupted by stating, "I love that you answered seriously to her b**b joke."

Griffin elaborated on her political point by predicting that Mamdani’s first year in office might parallel Trump’s.

She countered that though Trump "ran a successful campaign of affordability," his first year showed "he's flailing, he's not bringing the costs down."

Griffin suggested Mamdani might face a "similar approach" where "he was effective talking to concerns of voters but actually bringing down costs is much harder." However, this serious political commentary was largely overshadowed by Behar's humorous comparison.

Joy Behar's pattern of on-air jokes continues

The joke fits into a pattern of on-air comments by Behar about her chest and undergarments. In May, she said, "You know what I feel like doing right now? Letting these girls loose! Back up! Back up!" and "I'm taking the whole thing off."

Whoopi Goldberg seconded, “I don't wear a bra” and “I have not worn a bra in 50 years. It's too uncomfortable and I don't mind if they hit the floor, they're mine.”

In an earlier November 6 episode, Behar asked, "Why do I have to wear a brazier anymore? I don't want to do it anymore. I just don't," though she concluded she couldn't "have things hanging around like that. Not on TV anyway!"
