WASHINGTON, DC: MSNBC host Joy Reid slammed the "privileged" members of the Democratic Party for criticizing President Joe Biden in public, on Monday, July 8, Fox News  reported.

Not backing the President in his bid for reelection may end up helping reinstate former president Donald Trump in the White House, warned Reid. Her remarks came amid growing concerns across the aisle surrounding Biden's mental acuity to keep the top job for four more years.

Joy Reid's remarks on dissenting Democrats

"Please, please privileged, rich, White elected Democrats, you just keep publicly defenestrating your party leader and president to feed the media thirst for 'Democrats in disarray' stories," Reid said as she called out party members who have been vocal in favor of Biden's replacement as the party nominee on Monday.

She suggested that the behavior could be attributed to their fear of losing their seats and not knowing how to campaign on a "surging economy, high-tech jobs and $35 insulin."

"I mean, you're the most important thing here, right? You and your donors, of course," said 'The ReidOut' host. "Not the actual voters in your party base who can't afford to see prices double on everything they buy due to Trump's China tariffs."

Reid went on to paint a dire picture of a possible second Trump presidency, claiming that elected Democrats would be the first ones fired from their federal civil service jobs under Project 2025 while protesters are "shot in the streets" by Trump's "stormtroopers".

"You do you," she jibed.

Joy Reid's earlier criticism of Joe Biden

Joy Reid's stance on Monday stood in sharp contrast with her comments after the first presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump on June 27.

She noted during the post-debate analysis that the President's performance had left many of his party members rattled as they head to the general elections in November.

"He needed to settle Democrats … Democrats always talk about Democrats are bed wetters, Democrats (are) always panicking … they are neurotic. But Joe Biden's job was to reassure them tonight," she stated.

"His job was to calm his party, to make them feel that, 'Yes, I can do this. I have four more years in me. I have the ability and the stamina and the strength to do four more.'"

"He did not do that. He did the opposite of that," Reid added.

Internet slams Joy Reid for her take

Netizens called out Joy Reid over her remarks on Facebook.

"Everything is about race with this woman," wrote a person.

"Obviously important for them to win so why would they not run the best candidates they can get—certain this isn’t the best they have," stated another.

"Anyone with a brain in their head can see that Biden is unfit to hold office. He is destroying America bit by bit. If you still support him, then you need to have your head examined," one social media user remarked.

"Joy is so wrong all the time," said another.

"You know they are desperate when they throw down the race card on each other!" one individual added.
