WASHINGTON DC: MSNBC host Joy Reid expressed her willingness to vote for President Joe Biden even if he was "in a coma" in a TikTok video.

This statement highlights her desire to prevent former President Donald Trump from winning a second term.

Joy Reid said she wants to prevent Donald Trump's reelection

Reid's statement comes as Democrats are facing pressure to convince Biden to drop from the reelection race.

Some Democrats are concerned about Biden's age and health while others believe he is the best candidate to defeat Trump.

Reid made her feelings clear in a TikTok video, saying, "By the way, if it's Biden in a coma, Imma vote for Biden in a coma."

“Just let me know when you guys are finished figuring it out, Democrats. Then let me know who I got to vote for to keep Hitler out of the White House," she said in the video, as per Mediate.

"He's not Trump, right?" she continued. Reid also stated that she doesn't "even really particularly like" Biden or a significant amount of "his policy," The Hill reported.

Her priority is to prevent Trump's reelection which she believes would harm the country. She doesn’t “even really particularly like” Biden or a significant amount of “his policy.”

House Democrats urge Joe Biden to drop from 2024 race

Biden's disastrous debate performance has his campaign, allies, White House staff, and inner circle rattled.

Pressure has been mounting as at least three House Democrats have publically asked Biden to step down and give a chance to a new face.

Representative Seth Moulton (D-Mass) the third of the House Democrats was the latest person to urge Biden to step aside.

He appeared on Boston-area radio station WBUR on Thursday, July 4, saying, "Biden has done enormous service to our country, but now is the time for him to follow in one of our founding fathers, George Washington's, footsteps and step aside to let new leaders rise up and run against Trump."

Two other House Democrats who have echoed this sentiment suggesting Biden should back out of the 2024 race are Representatives Lloyd Doggett (D-Texas) and Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz).

On Thursday, July 4, Representative Scott Peters (D-Calif) criticized Joe Biden's campaign, calling it "arrogant" after the president's faltering debate performance last week.

“We needed a boost from Thursday. We didn’t get it. And the campaign has been very, I think, arrogant in their response," he said.

Internet reacts to Joy Reid's statement in favor of Joe Biden

The internet reacted to Reid's statement with a mix of humor and ridicule.

"Good news for her that Biden is actually in a coma," wrote one on X.

Another user wrote, "He almost is." A Biden supporter wrote, "So would a lot of us. Democracy and our very lives are on the ballot."

Some users also mocked Reid's statement, with one writing, "She already voted for coma Joe."

More users echoed her thoughts as one more wrote, "Well, she got lucky on that; the guy is already down." One more wrote, "Good since he's been in one for two years."

Some questioned Reid's loyalty to Biden, with one writing, "Of course, she would! Because she knows Biden isn't really running anything! The deep state cabal is calling the shots in this administration. They WANT him in a coma!"
