Joe Biden endorsed Kamala Harris after dropping out of the race

Kamala Harris became the Democratic presidential nominee after President Joe Biden backed out from the race in July.

“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President. And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” Biden said, as per AP.

Now, Harris is set to face Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, for a debate in Philadelphia at the National Constitutional Center on September 10.

Jamal Simmons' advice for Kamala Harris ahead of presidential debate

During the discussion on ‘The Source’, Kaitlan Collins asked Jamal Simmons if Kamala Harris would bring up Donald Trump as a convicted felon in the debate, reported Mediaite.

He replied, “It depends on what their core argument is. They might decide that people know enough about that. It may also be that there’s only one of them they really want to go at.”

“There’s only one when the proof point they need to make to make sure the voters they’re trying to target really understand it,” the 53-year-old noted.

The political advisor also suggested that Harris should not get into a “policy point/counterpoint because that’s not gonna convince anybody of anything,” before stating, “There's going to be a bunch of facts up against a wall. They gotta have a core argument.”

Jamal Simmons thinks someone should prepare Kamala Harris before debate

Jamal Simmons further asked Kaitlan Collins, “And somebody’s job also has to be in the debate prep– can you say this word, a-hole, on national TV.”

The 32-year-old news anchor replied, “Your kids may not like it but you can say it."

Collins continued, “But somebody's gotta be the a**hole here! Like somebody's really gotta sit there and pepper her.”

“And get her to get annoyed and aggravated. Because that's probably what Trump's going to do,” he said.

Collins added, “And what you want her to do is to work out that aggravation in prep and not do it when she gets on stage.”
