WASHINGTON, DC: President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race sparked speculation about Michelle Obama's potential candidacy.

Both she and Barack Obama have formally endorsed Kamala Harris, conclusively ending any speculation about the former First Lady's run for the presidency.

Regarding the Vice President, the internet appears quite convinced that the Obamas' endorsement contained hints of a potential Kamala-Obama ticket.

"I can't have this phone call without saying to my girl, Kamala, I am proud of you. This is going to be historic," Michelle said in a video post on X (formerly Twitter).

Barack wrote, "We called to say Michelle and I couldn't be prouder to endorse you and do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office."

Harris' response has indeed confirmed that the Obamas will participate in the election in some capacity.

"I'm looking forward to doing this with the two of you," she said. "Doug and I both. And getting out there, being on the road. [...] And we're going to have some fun with this too, aren't we?" Harris said.



 

Internet wants Michelle Obama to be Kamala Harris' VP

The Obamas' endorsement has sparked a buzz online, with some social media users advocating for Michelle Obama to take on the vice-presidential role.

A user on platform X commented, "I would LOVE to see [Barack] or MICHELLE on the @VP ticket with @Kamalaharris as @POTUS."



 

Another user wrote, "MICHELLE NEEDS TO BE VP OR THIS MIGHT NOT HAPPEN."



 

The third commentator stated, "Michelle should be VP"



 

"Kamala should pull the trigger and make Michelle Obama her VP. Trust the process that duo would be great," one suggested.



 

A person remarked, "Michelle Obama should be Harris' VP!"



 

"Michelle should be Kamalas VP (ik Michelle would never want to be) but that'd be so awesome," other chimed in.



 

A woman supporter claimed, "kamala should pick michelle o as her vp. then it could be boys against girls"
