NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, Vice President Kamala Harris affirmed her readiness to serve amid growing concerns about President Joe Biden's cognitive decline.

Her comments came following the Special Counsel Robert Hur’s bombshell report which entitled Biden as an “elderly man with a poor memory".

Following this, Fox News host Sean Hannity took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share with his followers what Kamala Harris had said.

Apparently, several people on the Internet brutally bashed Harris.

Sean Hannity reports on Kamala Harris ‘ready to serve’ in Biden’s place

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, “KAMALA ON DECK: Vice Prez Tells WSJ She's 'Ready to Serve' if Something Happens to Joe.”

Hannity’s tweet featured an article from his official website which reported that Kamala Harris is ready to serve following Joe Biden’s cognitive decline concerns.

During an interview with The Wall Street Journal, she said, “I am ready to serve. There’s no question about that.”

She claimed that everyone who sees her on the job, “walks away fully aware of my capacity to lead".

Harris' remarks followed just days after a significant report by Special Counsel Robert Hur, which notably referred to President Biden as an "elderly man with a poor memory".

Jennifer Palmieri, who served in the Obama and Clinton administrations and worked for Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign, commented on the situation, stating, "There was always going to be a lot of scrutiny and pressure on her in the 2024 campaign, and that moment’s here now. I think that the special counsel’s report has sort of accelerated that moment."

As per The Wall Street Journal, Harris has taken on a prominent role as the administration's primary advocate for abortion rights, overseeing the White House's newly-established Office of Gun Violence Prevention, and assuming a more visible position in addressing the conflict in Gaza.

Harris has been actively engaged in discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, participating in calls alongside President Biden and delivering a strong address in Dubai regarding the conflict. She has advocated for the administration to express greater empathy for Palestinians and prioritize a post-conflict plan for Gaza.

Following the release of the special counsel report, Harris' team was urged by White House aides to have her defend the President on a Sunday news program. However, Harris chose not to wait.

During an event on Friday, February 9, she publicly criticized the report as politically motivated and unwarranted, staunchly defending President Biden's leadership as “on top of and in front of it all".

Internet calls Kamala Harris 'nightmare'

Many X users took a brutal jab at Kamala Harris.

One person wrote, “Lord help us."

Another said, “SHE MAY BE READY, WE AREN`T.”

An X user slammed Harris, “😂 funniest thing I heard all day. I knew she was a comedian 😡."

Another added, “She is ready to serve??? Serve what? Breakfast, lunch or dinner? Please be clear.”

One more person trolled Harris, “That would also be a nightmare".

Another said, “As bad as Biden is she is far worse and it’s not even debatable!”
