WASHINGTON, DC: Vice President Kamala Harris was mercilessly trolled on social media platforms for her overuse of the word "holistic" during her exclusive solo interview with MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle on Wednesday, September 25.

The Democratic presidential nominee supposedly used the term thrice within a span of 15 seconds while discussing her plan to provide affordable housing.

Kamala Harris' comments on affordable housing

Stephanie Ruhle broached the subject of affordable housing and homeownership mentioning the $25,000 tax break Kamala Harris announced as a campaign promise for potential homeowners.

The interviewer said, "One of the main problems are regulations and rules, strict, strict rules at a local level," before asking, "How does the federal government cut through all that red tape and get down to, I don’t know, the suburbs of Pittsburgh and say, we’re going to have to build some affordable housing here? How do you connect the two?"

Harris acknowledged the problem, sharing that her plan to address the situation includes "creating tax incentives to work with the private sector and homebuilders."

"Part of my goal and the plan would be to create three million new housing units for rent and for ownership by the end of my first term," stated the vice president.

To solve the issue of excess bureaucracy associated with homebuilding, Harris said she plans to increase cooperation between the federal, state, and local governments.

"And it's going to be different in different places, depending on the needs of that community, the needs of that local government, that municipality, but working in consultation and coordination and also around incentives that we can create," expressed the Democratic nominee.

She went on to say, "For example, some of the work is going to be through what we do in terms of giving benefits and assistance to state and local governments around transit dollars, and looking holistically at the connection between that and housing, and looking holistically at the incentives we in the federal government can create for local and state governments to actually engage in planning in a holistic manner that includes prioritizing affordable housing for working people."

'The Daily Show' roasted Kamala Harris by introducing her 'holistic thought advisor'

In May, 'The Daily Show' correspondent and co-host Desi Lydic roasted Kamala Harris and her public speaking by assuming the role of her "holistic thought advisor," Dahlia Rose Hibiscus, for a skit.

The satire was based on criticism of Harris' "word salad" responses.

Introducing herself in the skit, Lydic said, "What is a holistic thought advisor? Well, it's holistic, yes. And I am advising. And what do we mean when we say that? It means that I am the one by who the thoughts are being advised, from a place of advisement, and then what's advised communicated. Holistically."

Kamala Harris trolled for overusing the word 'holistic'

Netizens mocked Kamala Harris for her excessive use of the word "holistic," claiming that it was a new addition to her "word salad."

One joked "Holistic word salad," and another said, "Someone learned a new word in kindergarten today."

"I need to see this woman on Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader," quipped a person, while someone else remarked, "She must be proud of herself learning a new word."

One more said, "Someone got a word of the day calendar for her birthday!" Another person jested, "I holistically disagree with her holistic word mess."

"It is always fun to learn new words and use them in a sentence," sarcastically wrote an individual.

"That is how you get the 20 page essay written in college these days," quipped one more.
