Kamala Harris trolled over bizarre Doritos rant during speech about AI: 'Still undefeated in word salads'

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Former Vice President Kamala Harris was roasted on the social media platform X after she brought up her love for Doritos while speaking on innovation at an AI conference on Sunday, March 9, reported the New York Post.

The word salad, for which Harris is infamous, was delivered as she was headlining the HumanX conference at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas.

According to the publication, Harris faced a significant drawback in her failed 2024 presidential campaign because she was unable to deliver clear, concise statements. She also received mockery for her attempts to showcase her love for nacho cheese-flavored Doritos on occasion, such as during a photo-op with her former running mate Tim Walz in Pennsylvania in August last year.



 

Kamala Harris brings up Doritos at AI conference

During her conversation with Nuno Sebastiao, CEO of data science company Feedzai, 60-year-old Kamala Harris brought up Doritos as she recalled ordering food through Doordash while watching the Academy Awards presentation on the night of March 2.

"We did DoorDash ’cause I wanted Doritos. And the red carpet part was about to start, and nobody wanted to leave to go to the grocery store. So it was DoorDash. So I was willing to give up whatever might be the tracking of Kamala Harris’ particular fondness for nacho cheese Doritos for the sake of getting a big bag of Doritos as I watched the Oscars,” she expressed.

While Sebastiao described his situation as consumer behavior, Harris rambled on, "And that’s right. But here’s the thing: At what point do we also uplift and highlight the consumer’s right to also expect — and you can debate with me if it should be a right, I think it should - to expect that the innovation would also be weighted in terms of solving their everyday problems, which are beyond my craving for Doritos, but about whatever — and I know the work is happening — around, you know, scientific discoveries, for example, to cure longstanding diseases."

Harris stretched her rambling longer as she continued, "But I’m going to throw out another one. I would love it if there would be an investment of resources in solving the affordable housing issue in America. Like, help me with that. Help me with that.”

The incorporation of various seemingly unrelated topics into one long rant by Kamala Harris during her conversation at the HumanX conference apparently threw off netizens from following her train of thought. The following comments demonstrate their takes.
