WASHINGTON, DC: Mark Cuban slammed the Democrats as he opened up about the biggest lesson he learned by endorsing the party nominee Kamala Harris and getting involved in the 2024 presidential election, Mediaite reported on Saturday, February 22.

The billionaire investor was attending the Principles First summit in Washington, DC, and discussed a path forward for the Democrats after they were decisively defeated by President Donald Trump. The last general election concluded with the GOP retaining a majority in the House of Representatives, as well as gaining control over the Senate and the White House.

Mark Cuban's observation following his time on the Democratic campaign trail

While speaking candidly at the event, Mark Cuban admitted that Donald Trump could sell a winning message despite his many drawbacks, criteria where the Democrats fall woefully behind.

When Principles First founder Heath Mayo asked Cuban about his takeaway from Kamala Harris' 2024 presidential campaign, the 'Shark Tank' star noted, "It was kind of fun actually. I learned that the Democrats can’t sell worth s**t. And they’re so, you know, persnickety about every little detail."

"Donald Trump can sell," he stated, before elaborating, "If you gave the Democrats a dollar bill and said, 'You can sell these for 50 cents', they would hire 50 people to decide how to do it and then would not know how to sell a dollar bill for 50 cents."

"If you gave it to Donald Trump and said sell this dollar bill for two dollars, he’d figure out a way. He’d tell you that two dollar bill is huge, it’ll get you gold tennis shoes, it’ll get you a Trump meme coin," he added.

Trump's commitment to the grind was "the problem" for Democrats, according to Cuban, who after a point claimed to have told the Harris campaign, "You’re not allowed to say a word to me, I don’t care what you think. I’m just going to do what I think is right, and that’s what I tried to go out there and do.”

Cuban later shot down speculations if he would consider running for the White House himself, saying, "Hell no. No. No. No, it’s not going to happen."

Internet feels Democrats do not have ideas worth selling

Social media users agreed with Mark Cuban's comment that Democrats need to work on their ideas before trying to improve their sales pitch.

"They always talk about the messaging or the sale because they refuse to acknowledge that the product itself is defective," wrote a social media user.

"Democrats are so bad at messaging," shared another.

"Can’t sell? They have no good ideas you f**king moron," someone else said.

"Trump just knows how to attract stupid people. Simple," remarked another.

"No, it’s not that they can’t sell. It’s that their products/policies are s**t & no American wants them. It the free market system working at its finest," one person wrote.
