Kamala Harris trolled after WH flubs caption of 'Queer Eye' visit video and calls her ‘Madam President’
WASHINGTON, DC: The Vice President's office released a video on June 18, showcasing Kamala Harris' interaction with the 'Queer Eye' cast and crew during a special Pride Month event, celebrating the show's 20th anniversary.
Vice President Harris was mistakenly referred to as "Madam President" in a video caption during her meeting with the cast of the Netflix show.

Near the end of the clip, which was tweeted by Harris’ official X account, one of the cast members addressed her as “Madam Vice President,” but the caption read “Madam President” instead.
“The cast of @QueerEye joined me at the White House to discuss the hard-fought progress the LGBTQI+ community has made in the past 20 years,” Harris proudly posted on X. “Thank you for a meaningful conversation, for giving my office your stamp of approval, and for being fabulous,” she added.

It was unclear whether the error in closed-captioning was manual or software-generated. The video was uploaded without correction by Harris, 59.
The video shows Jonathan Van Ness, who uses they, he, and she pronouns, with a beard and clad in a long, form-fitting, tie-dye dress, eagerly knocking on the door of the office at the White House Executive Office Building, and expressing excitement in a high-pitched manner upon Harris opening the door.

At the event last week featuring the Queer Eye team, Harris shared laughter and conversation with the show's co-founders and producers, David Collins and Michael Williams, along with cast members Carson Kressley, Jai Rodriguez, Karamo Brown, and Jonathan Van Ness, American Greatness reports.
Van Ness stood at the White House podium when a reporter asked, “Is it true that’s all your natural hair?"
Van Ness responded, “Yes, I can confirm that this is not a wig,” tossing his hair. When questioned about his favorite cast member, he stated he could "confirm" that Karamo Brown is his preferred colleague.
The New York Post reported that Joe Biden has mistakenly called Harris "president" at least eight times during his presidency, with the most recent incident occurring last month at a joint news conference with Kenyan President William Ruto.
