WASHINGTON, DC: Karoline Leavitt recently said that President Donald Trump's battle was against “evil forces” during the 2024 election campaign trail.

Leavitt was referring to the July 13, 2024, failed assassination attempt against the then-Republican presidential candidate, who was injured after being shot by Thomas Matthew Crooks at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The White House press secretary asserted that the POTUS was “saved by the grace of God,” the Irish Star reported.

Karoline Leavitt believes Donald Trump is safe due to a ‘miracle’

During an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network, released on Monday, April 1, Karoline Leavitt claimed, “I certainly believe in spiritual warfare. And I think I saw it firsthand, especially throughout the campaign trail with President Trump.”

The 27-year-old claimed that there are “certainly evil forces," before adding, "And I think that the president was saved by the grace of God on July 13th in Butler, Pennsylvania, and he’s in this moment for a reason.”

“We’re all here for a reason. And I think it’s a miraculous thing that has taken place in our country,” she added, as per the New York Post

Donald Trump said everything is a ‘gift from God’

Donald Trump had also expressed his gratitude toward God after the failed assassination attempt. The attack resulted in the death of Corey Comperatore, a retired fire chief of Buffalo Township.

In Milwaukee, he said, “None of us knows God’s plan, or where life’s adventure will take us. But if the events of last Saturday make anything clear, it is that every single moment we have on Earth is a gift from God. We have to make the most of every day for the people and country we love.”

During an August 2024 interview with Elon Musk, the Commander-in-Chief also shared that the bullet “hit me at an angle that was far less destructive than any other angle. So that was the miracle — so those people who don’t believe in God, I think we got to all start thinking about that.”

Trump asserted at the time, “Now I’m more of a believer, I think. And a lot of people have said that to me. A lot of great people have said that to me, actually. But it was amazing that I happened to be turned just at that perfect angle.”
