LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rick Harrison has reportedly hailed Donald Trump after he closed down the border and also took steps to stop criminal activity.

The ‘Pawn Stars’ lead praised the president over a year after losing his son, Adam Harrison, who died from an accidental fentanyl overdose at the age of 39.

Harrison told Fox News, “Closing the border was absolutely amazing. That's where … that's where it's all coming from.”

He further stated that he wants “anyone selling fentanyl to go to jail for the rest of their life. They're selling poison. They're killing people. I think it's every 11 minutes someone dies from fentanyl in this country.”

The devastated father, whose son Adam died in January 2024, also asserted that it’s “just horrific, and something has to be done about it. If you make the punishment for selling it so bad, it'll probably still be out there to some degree, but a lot of it'll go away.”

“Close up the borders, you know, really start cracking down on these countries that are letting people manufacture it there,” Harrison added.

Rick Harrison says he might run for office

The reality TV personality also recalled the time he received a call from Trump after Adam’s death.

“I was kind of a train wreck at the time. I'll be completely honest. I don't remember the conversation that well. I mean, I was really bad for a week,” he revealed, but noted, “I believed him – just look at the border now. Border crossings are down 98% or something like that.”

“It was just coming across the border like crazy, and like, we just need to crack down,” he stated.

Concluding his interview, Harrison mentioned that he “can't change the world, but maybe I can make it a little bit better. And so I do a lot of charity work, things like that. But maybe I'll run for office.”

Rick Harrison gets emotional remembering son Adam

This came weeks after Harrison remembered his son. He shared, as per USA Today, “I think about him every day. In his 20s, he had drug problems, and I put him in rehab so many times. Every time, he'd be doing great, and then it would fall back.”

“You hear the same story from a million people. It got really, really bad, and apparently, it wasn't heroin. He ended up getting some fentanyl that killed him,” the businessman noted.

Harrison believes that he “did everything right, but you just sit in your head (thinking), 'What if I did this? What if I did this?' …”

“You have a hundred things going through your mind. There is nothing worse than losing a kid,” he added.
