'Pawn Stars' lead Rick Harrison pays emotional tribute to son Adam who died at 39 from reported overdose

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Rick Harrison, the lead of the television show 'Pawn Stars' shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram following the shocking death of his son, Adam.

He broke silence hours after his son reportedly died of a drug overdose at the age of 39. Adam died on Friday, January 19 in Las Vegas, reported the New York Post.

Both the exact time of his sudden death and the circumstances surrounding it have not yet been disclosed.

Sharing a picture of himself alongside his lookalike son in a bar, Adam wrote, "You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam."

The post garnered a flood of condolences from high-profile personalities including Donald Trump Jr.

"I’m so sorry man," Trump Jr wrote beneath the image.

Corey Harrison, brother of Adam also paid tribute to his late sibling. He shared a childhood picture of himself and Adam in a bath.

“Wax wtf I will always love you bubba,” Corey wrote beneath the post.

Investigation into Adam Harrison's death is being conducted by Las Vegas PD

Releasing a statement to TMZ, the Harrison family stated, "Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss."

The Las Vegas Metro Police Department is currently looking into the situation, according to TMZ.

The 'Pawn Stars' show which has documented how they authenticate objects brought into their Vegas Gold & Silver Pawn Shop and make the seller an offer.

However, Adam has never appeared on the show that ran for 15 years and featured the multi-generational Harrison staff at their pawn shop.

It is also noted that Adam has never been mentioned in the reality show which first aired in 2009 and continued for 22 seasons.

Adam worked some sort of trade, though the exact type of trade remains unclear. However, some believe he was a plumber for a living, as per sources.

He had reportedly stepped away from the store and was noticeably absent from Harrison's Instagram, which features pictures of his other family members.

Harrison shares Adam and Corey with his first wife Kim and has a third son, Jake, whom he shares with his second wife Tracy Harrison.

The World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop which was established in Las Vegas is a family-run enterprise.

Season 23 of 'Pawn Stars' is scheduled to debut later in 2024.
