WASHINGTON, DC: Karoline Leavitt has defended the Iran war and claimed that President Donald Trump is doing it for the young American people. The press secretary’s statement came during the Wednesday, March 25, press briefing after she was questioned by Gabe Fleisher of "Wake Up To Politics".

Fleisher told Leavitt that he speaks to a lot of young people, who voted for the first time in 2024 and chose the Republican leader, “hoping to have no more wars and to have lower prices.”

Karoline Leavitt claims Trump launched Iran war for young people of America

“Now, with the war taking place and with gas prices going up, I'm curious what President Trump's message would be to those voters,” he asked.

The 28-year-old political spokesperson immediately backed Trump as she stated, “President Trump is doing this for you. He's doing this for young people so that we are no longer threatened by a rogue te**orist regime in the Middle East that seeks to kill the brave men and women who serve in our country in the Middle East.”

Leavitt also hailed Trump for his “courage to step up and do what's right by our national security, our homeland security.”

Karoline Leavitt says once Iran war is over gas prices will go down

Regarding the high gas prices, she called it temporary and also asserted that it will go down “once these combat operations are over, this administration is going to continue to unleash American energy dominance.”

“We're continuing to do that every day, and we're going to see prices at the pump go back down just as we have over the past year because of this president,” she said.

The Republican party member also did not miss the chance to trash the Democrats.

Leavitt added, “And don't think for one second that if the Democrats had their way, gas prices would be as they were under the previous administration, the Biden administration, record highs. This president is keeping them as low as he can during this short-term combat operation, and they're going to go right back down when this is over.”

Trump makes confusing statements regarding Iran war

The US joined Israel and waged war against Iran on February 28, killing Ayatollah Ali Khamenei along with many senior leaders and a few of his family members.

Trump had first justified the attack in a statement, calling it a step taken to destroy “their missiles and raze their missile industry to the ground. It will be totally, again, obliterated.”

But then in March, he appeared to focus more on Iran’s regime change.

“There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER! After that, and the selection of a GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader(s), we, and many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before,” Trump posted.
