Keith Urban guitarist Maggie Baugh’s dad shuts down affair rumors: ‘More of a musician thing’

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Chuck Baugh, the father of Keith Urban’s 25-year-old guitarist Maggie Baugh, has addressed rumors of the duo's alleged relationship.
The chatter comes amid reports that Urban and Nicole Kidman have separated after 19 years of marriage.

Maggie Baugh’s father’s response leaves ambiguity
When contacted by the Daily Mail, Chuck Baugh attempted to shut down the story but left enough ambiguity to spark fresh questions.
“I don’t know anything about it, other than she’s a guitar player for him,” he said. “It’s more of a musician thing than a dating thing. I haven’t heard one way or the other.”
Chuck, a Florida resident, mentioned that he had met Urban at a performance in Las Vegas last year, though he viewed his daughter’s relationship with the singer as primarily professional rather than romantic.
His response stood out for what it did not say — there was no firm denial that an offstage relationship could exist between his daughter and the 57-year-old country star.

Keith Urban changes 'The Fighter' lyrics
The controversy began after Maggie Baugh posted a video over the weekend showing Keith Urban playfully altering the lyrics to his hit song 'The Fighter'.
Traditionally dedicated to Kidman, during the show Urban sang, “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie I’ll be your guitar player,” instead of the original lyric, “When they're tryna get to you, baby I'll be the fighter.”

The moment was seen by many as an inside joke, but fans loyal to the actress immediately branded it disrespectful. Social media comments quickly flooded Baugh’s accounts, accusing her of being “the other woman.”
As criticism grew, another video from April resurfaced online.
In the clip that has only fueled speculation, Urban can be seen pointing directly at someone who appears to be Baugh while singing the line, “I was born to love you.”

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have yet to speak publicly on their split
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, who tied the knot in 2006, have long been considered one of Hollywood’s most enduring power couples.

But recent reports suggest the pair are heading for divorce after 19 years. Neither has publicly addressed the claims, and no legal filings have surfaced to date.
For now, the focus remains on Urban’s tour schedule, with the Daily Mail noting he was set to take the stage again on Thursday evening. It is unclear if Baugh appeared alongside him.

Maggie Baugh remains silent amid backlash
At 25, Maggie Baugh has built a rising reputation in Nashville as a gifted instrumentalist and performer.
She has not posted to her social media since the rumors erupted and has not addressed the affair speculation directly.
Fans, however, have not held back. Comments on her recent posts accuse her of “wrecking a marriage” and warn her to stay away from Urban.
